Menai Bay Beach Bungalow — Hotel in Unguja

Arriving at the property after one hour drive of very sketchy road and no lighting and signs. The reception lady took us to see the room. The way to the room. The wooden staircase was old and parts broken and some areas were not secured very unsafe for my child and partial lighted . Attached videos.The room was very unpleasant, old furniture. Completely not as advertised. The whole area was unsafe on security. No security from the beach side to stop any outsiders entering the property. Very poor lighting and atmosphere on the compound was very unwelcoming . The whole property was not as advertised. I will give a 1 star and very disappointing after coming from 24 hrs journey from the USA looking forward for a 7 day vacation. Not family friendly at all. Scary atmosphere. I will recommend a total upgrade on the property. I will recommend a check up on this property to be eligible on booking. com. or other booking sites. This is a false and a scam advertising.
