The private pool and the view is nice but that's about it. The restaurant and the service were very disappointing for a higher class resort.
Restaurant: you must eat at the hotel's restaurant because there are no other options in the area. The food is VERY over-priced considering the quality. We don't mind spending a bit more on good quality and tasty food but every hostel kitchen would have been better. Also, we both got food poisoning during our time in the hotel. Of course you can never be 100% sure where you caught it, but since there are no other options... However, also without the food poisoning the restaurant is a 0/10.
Service: the worst service we experienced during all our trip, including lower quality/budget hotels. We seriously had to discuss with the restaurant staff multiple times about getting more free water for the room which was supposed to be unlimited - this was after I told them that I got very sick and cannot eat anything. In general there were many many "misunderstandings" during our stay. Because we were aware of the bad service we already texted the staff via whatsapp in advance that we need a pickup for our luggage at a certain time. Of course the waiting taxi was not for us. During checkout we got asked for feedback and told them about the problems and a moment later the same person asked us when we return to the hotel in the feature, which...
Read moreHello, I stayed here for just one day. Here’s my honest feedback:
Disadvantages: The biggest challenge we faced was the location. Despite the hotel being just a few hundred meters away, we got lost for nearly 40 minutes. My advice: follow the map until you see the hotel’s signs—once you spot them, ignore the map and follow the signs instead.
Another thing to note—which may be expected when staying in the heart of the jungle—is the presence of insects and wildlife. We encountered a spider in the shower, flies in the pool, and even a lizard that managed to swim for a while. This was also when I discovered that my wife has a strong fear of insects! That said, I did notice they provided insect repellent in the room, which shows they are making an effort.
Also, be aware that the hotel is quite isolated. If you need to buy anything, exchange currency, or find a shop, you’ll have to drive on muddy roads to reach the nearest town.
Advantages: The room was fantastic—comfortable bed, excellent shower, private pool, and an incredible view. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful—they even washed my rental car, which I truly appreciated.

Read moreGreat hotel with sandbanks and private swimming pools. But the administration is a bit disorganized. If you book anything through the hotel, most likely there will be problems and I don’t think they are trying to scam you, they are just unorganized. But if you book through the booking, and pay in the hotel only for the restaurant, it’s a great hotel. Villas are new but of course with wavy walls as everywhere in Zanzibar, but I don’t care since really everything is new and clean. Staff are also quite friendly apart from the organisation problems. They even made late check-out for free, so really no complains. No people around, quite and in my opinion safe
Important info: Restaurant isn’t as good as could be, although still it’s ok, but there are no other options where you can eat. Also expect at least 1h to spend in the restaurant because it’s A la Carte and it’s not fast. There is almost no beach, but it’s ok to swim, although with Coral shoes. However once the sand bank appears ( when we were it appeared from 9:00 to 15:30 ) it’s amazing. First of all it’s incredibly beautiful, and it’s almost clean sand with no seaweed and stones. The road to the...
