VILLA23 Residence — Hotel in Anusawari Subdistrict

I really would not recommend this place, as clean and new as it is, to non-Thai visitors simply because it is in the middle of nowhere.

I don’t know how other reviewers got there unless they had their own cars with GPS. The place is about a mile deep in an alley (Soi 23); I got there on the back of a motorcycle, from the main road Ram Intra.

I also don’t know how the other reviewers fed themselves. To reach a 7-11 from the hotel, another motorcycle ride is necessary. The two nearest malls with restaurants are 15-25 minutes away by taxi. Again, I had to flag down a motorcycle who drove me two miles to a busy intersection to find a taxi.

Yes, the place is much cleaner than most Thai hotels at this price, simply because it is new and everything is still working. But consider the beautiful sink (see photo); does any know how to stop the water from draining (so as to wash one’s underwear, for example)?

About a 100 baht taxi ride from Don Muang airport. A ten or fifteen minutes ride depending on traffic. For between 800-900 baht this is a great place to stay if you have a next day flight out of Don Muang airport. Located in a quiet residential area, there is no loud noise. Room was modern and spotlessly cleaned. Bed and bedding were awesome, comfortable mattress. The Thais that run the place were very helpful and polite. There are two convenience stores within 3 minutes walking and places to eat and shop about 10 minutes away. If you use grab or Uber you can get everywhere from here. We'll come back whenever's flying through Bangkok. Great...
