The resort is quite nice. It is kinda old, but still very clean and neat.
The gym is old. All the equipment is outdated, even with good maintenance.
I wish it could be replaced with newer equipment. A proper barbell or a smith machine. The floor could be replaced with rubber to absorb the sound of weight.
The staff is nice and kind, but I really don't like the way they manage and arrange the room.
I stayed there for 2 nights. The first night, I was put on the 1st floor between a group of people who came to attend a wedding. I asked the front desk to change the room, because it was noisy. I mentioned that I was a light sleeper and very sensitive to noise. I was later put in a room on the 2nd floor. All the 2 rooms beside me were occupied, so I heard the noise of closing the door and moving the furniture all night even after I put in my earplugs. I understood that it was Saturday with a lot of guests, so I couldn't help.
However, on Sunday night, it was very quiet. Most of the guests left, even the parking lots were empty. Still, the new guest was put into a room that is next to me, even though all the rooms were vacant. Another night I could not sleep well because of the noise. I don't think I will...
Read moreCaution: NO BELLBOYS AFTER 10 PM. We had spent 3 nights there. The 1st night was not impressive. We checked in late after 10 pm and there was no bellboys to take our suitcases. We needed to take them by STAIRS to the check-in lobby. Only one security guard stood by that time, but at first, he was not enthusiastic to help us to take the suitcases then I asked for help so he did us a favor. I thought it was not his job to take them so I complained to the receptionist that why there was no bellboys to help us and she said the bellboys left after 10 pm but there was the security guard to assist instead.
After checked in, we had to walk very far to our room because it’s the weekend and only few rooms left. I was surprised that they had no elevator and I felt really bad for those bellboys and security guards who are assigned to do this job. At least, the hotel only has 2 floors.
There are welcome Thai traditional desserts in the room. The room smells alright even it’s furnished by wood furniture and flooring.
Quiet place to sleep. Many tourists. Crowded breakfast areas in the morning on the weekend. I didn’t have it but it looked nice.
To be fair, it’s very good place to stay in Chanthaburi. Highly...
Read moreWe are from Australia and absolutely loved our stay at Maneechan Resort. It's the second time I've stayed here and this time we stayed about 3 weeks! The environment is just stunning with lush well-kept expansive gardens and beautiful infrastructure. The best fruit buffet breakfast I’ve ever had. Excellent quality. We played ping pong daily and used the well-equipped gym every second day. It was like a home away from home. The staff are beautiful people, especially at the front desk and they will do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. They allowed us to borrow a HDMI cable and a floor fan. Included in our stay was a taxi service with an electric tuktuk with our own driver, this was a huge advantage for us as the location is a bit out of town (but not too far). The house keeping was amazing and efficient. The only thing I can suggest is that they build a high concrete wall against the traffic as the noise at night can be a bit loud but not enough to prevent us from coming back here again. We are leaving today and I actually feel a little sad to say goodbye. If you are wanting to find somewhere to stay in Chanthaburi, Thailand then don't look any further, this is the...
