My girlfriend and I had a 2 night stay at Mai Siam. Upon arrival we were a little thrown off because we didn't know what to expect. However the hosts, Eric & Pranee, immediately welcomed us, showed us our very nice, spacious, and clean room, and then took us to the local market where we got to pick out some items for dinner and taste local snacks we never otherwise would have tried. We immediately knew this would be an experience that you would be hard pressed to replicate. They are very knowledgeable about the area and are only too happy to offer recommendations on sights and activities. We only stayed two nights there, but wish we could have cancelled another hotel to stay longer. This is a beautiful and tranquil escape from the noise of Chiang Mai, while still within convenient travel distance to the heart...
