Rimdoi Resort — Hotel in Chiang Mai Province

They has a function room which was located near to the individual bedrooms (hut) and we slept opposite the function room, with few friends having rooms next to us on our left and right and another a distance.

We back to our room at 2130 hrs and was told by a young female staff, function music and singing (karaoke) and shouting will end at 2300 hrs but continue at 2310 hrs. Our friends called reception complained on the noise and I called as well and a female staff said will inform them to stop their function. At 2325 hrs, noise continue and I call reception again.

At 2335 hrs, I fed up and took 3 mins walk to the reception, I asked lady dressed in white "Are you the manager she replied yes". Why noise still on which I were told function end by 2300. Female manager replied usually stopped at 2300 hrs she will inform them to stop. I replied "what? Inform them again? How many times are you going do that? I asked female manager, is this place for accommodation or for function, which is important? I told her I am going to check out if noise continue as we need to wake early in the morning to drive from Chiang Dao to Chiang Mai. Again she replied the same. I told her telk them TO STOP NOW. I further told her I will email to relevant authority to complain if noise persist.

I went back to room at 2340 and noise finally ended 2350 hrs. Earlier I can see teenagers and young adults attended this function. They maybe locam and regular customers which this resort treasuresd them more than us, our four rooms comprised of thai from various parts of Thailand and me, a foreigner, all attending a local wedding there.

ESPECIALLY TO MY FOREIGN FRIENDS, skip this resort unless you can sleep with noise as they treasure only...

This place really gave me what i looked for: something less urban and calm after Bangkok, and yet very confortable to relax, eating and drinking excellent, meeting some people and so on. ||||Really great was the people at the reception. I got answer to all of my (sometimes bothering) questions, they prepared papers for me written in Thai-letters and in 'arabic' letters where my future destinations and ideas of the trip was written down, enabling me to navigate in quite lost areas at the Birma-border in north of Thailand where many people did not talk any language which i talk - so one can easily see that they did every effort for me - thanks for that (I have your paper...

We've stayed there for only one night as part of a group Jeep-tour and I must say that it an excellent choice for groups, but also for couples who are travelling in this area and want a nice romantic place to stay at. I don't know the prices as our stay was part of a package, but I assume it is very cheap, so it is also an excellent value-for-money choice.||The place itself is fabulous, with wooden construction/decks/furniture, beautiful gardening & scenery. The rooms are nice, clean & well-equipped and the food is great, both at dinner & breakfast. All in all, I highly recommend this resort to everyone who travels at this area of...
