ประภาคาร รีสอร์ท — Hotel in Chon Buri Province

I was recommended to stay here by one of my Thai friends. I am glad I listened. Located on the beach front with great views. They have rooms that cater for family's as well as couples / singles. Don't expect "western" style service if you stay here. It is very Thai orientated. And so it should be, this is Thailand. A Thai breakfast seemed to be served in the mornings, but it was well and truly finished by the time I was getting out of bed. No Hassles just walk down the road and there is some people that will wizz you up something to eat. Food warning, you won't find bacon & eggs or Maccas around here. Strictly Thai food. I am sure this will change over time ad the area seeds to be about to exploded with guest houses and resorts. This area is a fishing village area, so very cheap fresh seafood to be eaten. You will find some one to cook it for you right where you bye the seafood. Just look for the small BBQ's. I really like this area, Thai people being themselves, no girlie bars and loud music. We stayed here for 2 nights during our trip to Thailand. The cottages were very new, clean and comfortable. The grounds were well kept and butted up directly to the water. One point of note would be that there are no places to eat close by - other than a restaurant directly next to the hotel, however the restaurant closes very early. One trip to the grocery store is a quick solution to this small problem. The day that we were scheduled to leave we were having a tough time finding a cab/truck/etc to take us into town. So the owner offered to drive us. What we thought would be a 15 minute trip turned into the owner driving us for 2 hours, through several towns, to a large bus depot. He did all this for free, in fact he wouldn't take any money. He was a God-send that day. We were blown away by his kindness and because of that we have nothing but the best praise for...

Just good enough to stay resort. Located next to the sea which had no beach and not for swimming. The place was a bit rundown. Cleanliness and ventilation in room could be improved. My stay was in sea view bungalow. The quality was some how just matched the price. Here was to few good restaurants and fisherman market. This was only good point I can think of...
