Gallery Lake View Hotel – A Hidden Gem in Khon Kaen
I recently stayed at Gallery Lake View Hotel for the first time, and I already know it’ll be my go-to place whenever I visit Khon Kaen again. As someone who’s from here, I’m always happy to support local businesses, and this hotel is definitely one I’m proud to recommend.
The location is perfect—right by the lake and a public park, with street food stalls nearby, making it easy to grab a delicious local meal.
The lobby truly reflects the hotel's name, Gallery, with its artistic lighting and paintings that create a warm, stylish atmosphere. It’s a great spot for taking pictures or simply enjoying the space.
One thing I really appreciated was the coin-operated washing machine. While there’s no dryer, hang-drying is common in Thailand, and if needed, there are plenty of laundromats around Khon Kaen for added convenience.
Beyond its comfort and great service, the hotel also provides strong security measures, including key card entry for rooms and a card-operated elevator restricted to each floor. It’s a great touch for added privacy and peace of mind.
What stood out most was the exceptional service and cleanliness, well beyond expectations. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable.
If you’re looking for a cozy, well-kept, and locally rooted place to stay in Khon Kaen, this hotel is definitely worth...

So I was quite happy to discover the Gallery lake view hotel last week. Great location just opposite the lake. You can exercise in the mornings and evenings in a beautiful, peaceful setting. ||I stayed on the 4th floor. The hotel is very modern and the room was very nice- lovely bathroom, all TV channels you want and a pleasant balcony. Only one big chair in the room..The staff were very friendly, calling taxis and giving all the information I needed as I came especially for the Silk Fair which is amazing at this time of the year ( 29 November-11 December ). A typical Isarn atmosphere with food stalls, gorgeous silk clothes, concerts and a million people.... One of the best fairs to go in Thailand. ||The breakfast at the hotel is included. Not exceptional but you can get enough food to start your day. As it was the Silk fair, the price was 1,000 baht but was worth it.||I definitely would recommend this hotel which is so well...
Read moreThe hotel is oh-so-far from everything else; I would not have stayed here were it not for visiting Phra Mahathat Kaen Nakhon. ||||Despite the somewhat gaudy (but maybe to some the luxurious) look of the hotel, the rooms function well: water from the sink drains and the refrigerator cools after you plug it back in, except for one: the WiFi, which makes you sign in EVERY time you use it. Why is making a hotel suffer considered a “security” issue? Hasn’t the service provider heard of a “Remember me” feature? ||||That which was worse was the pretension and pseudo seriousness of the WiFi service provider telling the user that it could not reach the local Google server and that the Bing server was unsafe as it might steal personal information for unsavory uses, etc. — all of these annoyances were gone when WiFi was switched off ! Owner of Gallery: are you reading...
