Mai Thai Guesthouse — Hotel in Khon Kaen Province

A great Guesthouse, where the 2 owners will make you feel at home! It is located away from city centre, but you can reach all the touristic spots and the nightlife easily after 35 min. walk or by scooter or you drive by Grab. In walking distance 1-5 min. you have many yummy streatfood-options, a supermarket, laundry, pharmacy, whatever you need. Very nice swimming-pool, billard. The kitchen is opened from 8.30 am to 8 pm, they offer a great breakfast in English style and only western dishes, because they want to support the brilliant Thai foodstalls around. The place is part of town, but a bit outside, so it feels like living in a bigger village or little town and you are part of everydays authentic Thai life. Nice big romantic lake in only 25 min walking distance! Great rooms with balcony, big tv, safe, fridge, watercooker, 2 fresh water bottles every day, good daily room service. Bathroom with very good shower. Comfy big beds. So there is really nothing to complain about. Max. around 25 guests, from youngones to oldones, singles, pairs, LGBT-friendly. Very quiet at night. Very good guesthouse away from the hustle and bustle of the center, but still in acceptable distance to touristic hotspots. Many great foodstalls nearby, just try the food where you see locals eating or waiting for take away. Lotus supermarket 4 min. away, little marketplace 3 min.|Big rooms with balconies, ac, fan, waterheater, Nescafe provided, big tv screen, daily room service, very good bathroom with high water pressure in shower, nice pool, many little artistic details, whereever you look. Owners very inviting, giving any possible informations you need. You can even eat there, very good british breakfast. Kitchen open 8.30 am - 8. 30pm, no thai dishes - they serve only western food because that supports all the brilliant little thai restaurants around, where I was not one time disappointed. Great noodle soup just 1 min. away! A really great place, that I can happily recommend! Good place for young and old travellers, who are looking for a romantic setting and relaxing place with nice people around. LGBT-friendly. Asians, Westerners, mixed couples... Excellent hosts Ron and his wife always on hand with tips and advice, stayed in family room zero issues no noise even if over bar and overlooking the swimming pool, the pool was spotless and so well maintained, food was great and reasonably priced and they would bring it to your room if you so wished, All the staff were so welcoming and friendly, the place itself was spotless. A high standard of maintenance can be seen throughout the property. This is probably a hidden Jem in Khon kaen I’m travelling out toKhon kaen for 10 years. This is far the nicest friendliest welcoming place I’ve stayed in. There’s not really anything negative. I have to say about it. 100%. I will be back here...
