I do not know where the internet routers are located, but the wifi service on the fourth floor is terrible. It consistently had a low signal and would constantly cut out on me. Upon check-in, I found 3 very long hairs on the floor in living area (I placed them on the desk for visibility); I also found a long dark hair under the bathroom sink. I have found long hairs in hotel rooms to be standard in Thailand possibly because hotels do not require housekeeping personnel to wear hairnets. Also in the room the Mini-fridge opens away from living area; I have to press the entry door, into my room, very hard to get it to close.
The room safe was also locked upon check-so I was unable to use it, initially (Engineering came to open the safe on the second day of my stay, upon my request). The patio attached to the room has smoking allowed, but no seating or table provided for patio use.
In the shower, the same product with artificial scent is advertised as both shower gel & shampoo with conditioner (however, it does not appear to have any conditioner in it, and I expect that it is an inexpensive product). Waterflow in the overhead shower is about 50% clogged, so the handheld sprayer is a better option. Also in the bathroom, the toilet tank is loose and wobbles when you sit on the toilet. Lighting in front of bathroom mirror could be improved significantly.
While the pool may be salt water, I found the pool temperature too cool for comfort, and the tiles surrounding the pool area quite slippery while barefoot. It is also a little difficult to get in and out of the pool with only a step ladder at one end of the pool. Regarding the location, there is a truck that drives through the neighborhood with a mounted loudspeaker.
Expect that this may wake you up in the morning and that you may run to the door to try and figure out what is going on. The morning breakfast buffet options are delicious, however, if you are vegetarian or vegan you will likely be disappointed (3 of 4 hot dishes contained pork and the fourth contained meat, as well).
There are also very few healthy options on the buffet aside from salads and fresh fruit assortment. The âItalianâ salad dressing appears to be made with possibly an [inflammatory] seed oil rather than olive oil. The âorange juiceâ tastes to be an overly sweetened orange drink. Coffee was delicious, however.
PROS: The room has good lighting, and a mattress pad is provided for added comfort. In lobby Welcome drink changes according to appropriate time of day.
Suggestions for improvement: (1) prop up the front of room safe so door does not swing open when not in use, allowing full use of closet without obstruction. (2) fix loose toilet tank (as someone who has worked in plumbing for many years, itâs loose condition could cause it to break if heavy person leans...
Read moreA bit disappointed. I made reservation via line application for a garden room and it was already confirmed. During checking in, front staff told me that I booked a Deluxe room so I confirm with her that I booked a Garden room. She told me with her strong voice that I booked Deluxe room. I had to show her a text conversation between the hotel and I. Then she accepted that it was a hotel's mistake and try to find me a garden room. Actually I didn't mind staying in a Delux room but I just didn't like the way she talked to me like I was wrong about the roomtype without any double checking or kindly asked for a confirmation letter. Once I get into the room, it was not like I was expected. The reason why I chose to stay in the garden room because I would like to spend sometime in the balcony with a bit of view but it had no view because there was a roof of the first floor blocking all the view. So I called the reception if they had any other room available but unfortunately it was fully booked. I asked to see the Deluxe room that was booked for me before, she said it was fully booked. I was not sure if it was a lie but it is quite hard to believe as she just told me ten minutes ago that there was a Deluxe room booked for me first. Actually this hotel was really nice, the room and shower room was clean. Bed was very comfy. Housekeeping and room service was great .Big space for a parking lot. Only the reception staff has to be...
Read moreGetting in and out can be a little difficult from the main road to the hotel and back out, your stand single lane streets being used as a two way raid and people springing their cars along the way. But at the hotel there is amble parking and plenty of signs showing you the way in. Check in was great and room presented well when we walked in. Comfortable bed and good quality black-out curtains so having a sleep in during the morning or an afternoon nap can be enjoyed. Breakfast was good, Asian style, but enjoyable with the eggs cooked on order and presented very well. Staff are very friendly but be prepared for the language barrier, if you are willing then the staff will do their best to help you. The swimming pool is great, you can swim any time of the day as pool is generally shaded by the building allowing for a good swim without the sunburn, great if you have a few small kids. The only downside would be the noise from the neighboring rooms does come through easily which includes the bathroom. We were fortunate enough to have people next to us being reasonably quiet. The garden room was a nice set up and in another 6 or so months the plants growing over will only make it even more enjoyable to...
