Note that the resort is NOT ACCESSIBLE by road! You can only reach it by boat and only when the weather allows it. They do offer a free shuttle boat twice a day though. Probably enough if you plan on staying the whole evening isolated in the resort. Another thing is that electricity is only available from 6pm to 6am. On the other hand the staff and all the people who work there are extremely nice, polite and helpful! They even did our groceries in the city when we asked them and carried our luggage all the way through the jungle for 15min to reach the road where we took a taxi (only option to get to the pier on a stormy day) which costed 1500 baht for a 30min ride. It makes me sad to give only 2 stars because we had a good time with the people there. It's more like a warning for other naive travellers like us who think everything is always reachable and moving around the island wouldn't be a problem.

Booked 2 nights here, didn't know it was inaccessible by road. Nevertheless, they do have free boat twice a day to and from the pier, and it can even take you to koh nangyuen island for free. The manager was really friendly and accommodating. Anyway, rubbish bags were everywhere and we have flies in our rooms everyday. Can't even open the door to the balcony as the flies come in right away. Most disgusting thing we've experienced. The beach ain't private at all. Boats dock in here for the day tours and heaps of tourists everyday. In addition to this, the restaurant has a set lunch menu, which costs 300 baht per meal, though the dinner prices were acceptable. Free breakfast wasn't the best though. Lastly, there was no electricity from 6am to 6pm! All in all, won't book it again for such an expensive price.

I wouldn’t recommend Mango Bay for the following reasons: 1. The road/track in is not for the faint hearted and should only be tackled by experienced riders. 2. There is an entrance fee of 100 baht per person. 3. Once you arrive you park your scooter/ bike up the top and have to navigate. hundreds of steps to get down to the beach. 4. The resort looks deserted, with some of the buildings boarded up to keep trespassers out.

The staff were friendly and the resort provided a boat service (free of charge) to Mae Haad and back, twice a day. The bed was comfortable and the bungalow was nice, with a large balcony in lovely surroundings (although the bathroom was very dark when without electric). However, it’s a real hike from the beach to the accommodation and then again, from the restaurant to accommodation. However, the staff did carry our bags on arrival.||Unfortunately, the beach is somewhat littered with building supplies as they are building an extension to the property. I was very disappointed to see all the rubbish at the back of the beach, amongst the rocks. I also saw the staff flicking cigarette ends into the sea, on our boat journey to Mae Haad. They have such a beautiful beach and surroundings, why are they not preserving and taking care of it?||The chalet (B4) has A/C, fridge and kettle, but electric is only on 6pm until 6am, which is not made obvious on the booking site. ||Both of the sun loungers where broken and when we approached the owner / manager about this we were told they have been broken for sometime, not really the response we were hoping for! Due to the abundance of small, stingy jellyfish in the bay, there was very little to do other than lounge about.||We could not get any channels on the TV, but didn’t bother asking about that, after the response we got to the broken loungers. There was no hanging rail or hangers for clothes (as advertised), so we had to put things out on the balcony to dry.||Breakfast was included in the room rate (£43.20 per night through Agoda), it was ok but you would feel robbed if you paid the 250 THB for it (2 eggs, 2 toast, 1 hotdog sausage and a tea or coffee).||As for the jellyfish, I have read that there should be a sting station on the beach, with vinegar to apply to stings, emergency numbers and a purple flag should be up if there are jellyfish in the water. Au Muong does not have this and if it’s down to the resort to provide this, that’s no surprise.||The highlight of my stay was seeing the lone duck on the beach, that had probably escaped the pot.||Could do much better,...

I would recommend this place for snorkeling lover who r really looking for the place to stay away from the crowded, Peaceful places and just only few steps u can jump to the ocean to spend the time with lovely fishes 🐠 and coral there.||As the Koh Tao and this resort abit indipendent so it would be only one way can reach there by their boat service. Pls make appointments for pick up time with them before come to check in|A bungalo and an ocean view room are stunning with the full of nature right here. Even can hearing lovely wave from the ocean too. Cozy and just FYI they will have electricity begin from 6pm till 6am. But it not our problem you can grab some fav book and sitting at the restaurant area which the best view ever of the ocean like our photos. |Moreover for their Food the taste really yummy and can say that much better than some restaurant in The Town area too.||The great length of stay should recommend for 3 days minimum or longer. As they also provide shuttle boat to drop you at Nangyuan Island and Koh Tao Mae Haad Beach for sightseeing as well.||Heard that they are going to add more restaurant which beach bar at the ground floor too and can't wait to see it.||I have been for various beaches in Koh Tao but I can guaranteed Ao Muang Mango Bay is the best for truly peaceful place (may have some tourist come to stop by but there are no longer for all the time as per this area also one of the place to do snorkeling)||🛶 Kayak activity also one of the recommend things to do in the evening that comes out a little bit more to Nangyuan Island side that can make u to feel like own this ocean to enjoy the moment till the sun goes down. ||Staff here also very friendly and helpful. They Make u feel like not away from home as Khun Dol and Khun Tip here who service us with lovely smile as always. ||Definitely will be a retuning here as often as possible... ||It was my 4th visit here and the 1st time for my boyfriend right here and he already committed to come back and see this place getting better every year from now on too. ||Look forward to come back here again!!...
