Friends and I came to Lopburi for the monkey festival. We needed a cheap place to stay over night and keep our stuff. This place is better than what we imagined for the price we paid. It seems to only be frequented by Thai locals which is a shame because I would definitely recommend it.||||Service: ||The manager at this hotel came personally to the bus stop to bring us to the hotel. He paid a Tuk Tuk driver to bring the 6 of us over. Upon arrival we looked at our rooms before hand and the swimming pool. The hotel staff is friendly. ||||Facilties: ||Wifi, swimming pool, cable and complimentary continental breakfast. Also they have heated showers, western toilets and complimentary shampoo and soap. The hotel rooms are a bit worn down/outdated but this place is huge and the value was great. For two twin beds we paid 600 Baht per night. Stayed for a second time in a period of a year at the Lopburi Residence Hotel. We used this large hotel during our Lopburi River kayak trip as the hotel is conveniently located a few kilometers from our first arrival point on the river. The hotel has a choice of standard and superior rooms. The standard rooms are a bit worn-out, but acceptable for the price. The rooms have air-conditioning, cable-TV and refrigerator on board. Typed the English name of this hotel into Google maps and it took us down a dirt track to nowhere! Be sure to use the Trip map to navigate. Room was spacious and clean. Air con and bathroom very serviceable. Bring a toothbrush. Free buffet breakfast with tea and coffee. No complaints. We ate evening meal at a nearby restaurant. Easy walk away across the canal.
