Benjatara Boutique Resort — Hotel in Lop Buri Province

I've travelled all over Asia over the last 20 years and have never checked back out of a hotel so quickly!

We had a VIP room here and after just over an hour to freshen up we packed up and checked out. There was a huge amount of mould in the bathroom and all of the bed linen had black mould spots on it and the dank smell was just disgusting. After a decent drive to get to Lopburi and some site seeing we checked in and freshened up with our daughter.

When in the shower I was not liking the look of the state of the bathroom due to the mould. Some wouldn't have been a big problem (cheap hotel in Asia) but this was crazy for a hotel and the whole bathroom needs to be redone in our opinion. We then lay down on the bed as our daughter was due her milk to start noticing black spots on the sheets. That was enough for us even though we were tired we backed up and decided to drive on towards Chaiyaphum....

Would never go back there and unless they do some serious upgrades to the rooms and could not recommend that anyone stay there. Extremely...

this is the first day of my stay, I'll update if it gets better! This is the third room I've looked at, all the other rooms had ant infestations and looked like they haven't been cleaned in a couple of weeks, I'm looking at more rooms tomorrow to see if there are any rooms that don't have spider webs, mold, spider nests, or dirty sheets and interior. this is the best room I've been in out of the three rooms I've looked at today and one of the beds are broken. Theres paper stuffed in the small hole that you are supposed to look through, the sink was clogged and filled with water when I came in, there are dust and webs everywhere, and the floors are dirty. The receptionist was rude and had a rbf😭 theres mold in the bathroom and no one cleaned out the water bottles in the mini fridge, so there is one frozen water bottle from who knows when, one normal water bottle, and one half full water bottle. I stayed for 2 nights in their triple room, which was located at their new building just across the road. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and breakfast was ok. But some of the facilities were rather old or not well maintained. The bar to hang towel in the bathroom was just dangling on the loose screw, on the verge of dropping off. The tap is obviously not suitable for use with their sink, because it's too near to the sink wall, making it really hard to use especially when washing face. Wifi is terrible and totally unusable (too many routers/APs within close proximity, overlapping frequencies causing really bad interference). Location wise, it is quite a distance from Lopburi city center, not a problem if you are driving. There are quite a few parking lots available free for guests. Just a couple of minutes drive a away is a huge Big C mall. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, i do enjoy the peaceful and quiet...
