As this was a short notice trip, my wife called to hotel to make a reservation, to be told that all the lower priced standard rooms were all booked and we would need to pay an extra Baht 200 for a room on the higher floors. I was able to book at the lower priced room rate using a web booking service, and at check-in we were given a top floor room anyway. ||||Check-in and check out very pleasantly and efficiently handled. The room was well equipped and spacious, and everything worked. Bed comfortable. Shower good, but watch out for the very slippery bathroom floor tiles when wet. ||||Superb views over the river to Laos from the room. However, note that there is a massive construction project underway to extend the riverside walkway and adjacent road from the town centre, all along this stretch of the river bank (so all the hotels along this stretch of the river are affected) but the noise and disturbance was hardly noticeable. Unfortunately no one at the Hotel has any idea when this work will be finished. ||||Dinner at the open air restaurant at riverside was excellent in terms of the facility, service and the quality of the food. In particular, the fish, fresh from the Mekong River, cooked in soi sauce with mushrooms and ginger, was absolutely delicious!||||Breakfast was thai-style, with an eggs cooking station, and lots of choices including a good variety of salads and fruits.||||We will stay at this great value for money Hotel...
Read moreI stayed in this hotel for three nights as I saw a good mark on the Tripadvisor and also on the booking pages. ||Check in was swift and we got a room type that we booked. Room is modern and very clean with lots of external light coming in. I had a room faced towards the river with a nice vew towards the border and further to towards the mountains in Laos. We enjoyed this perk.||Hotel is located a bit outside Nakhon Phanom city so you either walk (if you yre fit) or take a tuk tuk.||Bathroom was very clean and all was provided. Also Wi-Fi was of excellent quality. Room was neatly made every day. Breakfast is a bit on the average and expect quite some crowds if you are coming in the holidays time. There will be a lot of local tourists who will have bicycle tours so expect a bit busy time. But anyway for three days you will find something for yourselves, even though breakfast is focused mostly towards the...
Read moreNearly everything about this hotel is very good or even excellent - the staff, the check in, the bed, the bathroom, the value for money. the cleanliness, the bar and restaurant. The view from the room is outstanding, you can even see the sunrise over the Mekong. There is some road and cycle-way construction going on but it's not so noisy. ||The averages are the breakfast coffee and the wi-fi which continually wants you to sign in if you don't use it for even a short while.||The negatives were 1) a bad smell in the bathroom at times, strange since we were on the 4th floor and 2) the lack of soundproofing for the next room's TV. The soundproofing to the main street is good however, and it is a busy road.||Now as for the location: it's about 4-5 km from the centre of town and we didn't have a car so we needed continual tuk-tuks ate 100 baht a go. If you have a car...
