The hotel itself is fine - big comfy beds, hot water in the ensuite, OK WiFi. Main problem is location, it's a good 20 minute walk out of town along busy main road or up a country lane being chased by scary dogs. The hotel also has unchained dogs who came running at us when we walked back in the dark. The staff do not speak English - just asking to use their phone to book a tour to Khao Yai took the best part of an hour to communicate, even with Google Translate. Note that tours do not pick up from here as it is too far from town, unless you are willing to pay 400 baht for the transfer.
