Golok Golf Club & Resort — Hotel in Narathiwat Province

Since we were visiting the family of my friend we had to stay somewhere around Sungai Golok. Well, I was very happy to have chosen this accommodation. Extremely friendly staff, very good food and a nice quiet location at the golf court. ||||The rooms are i fact pretty new, but look already somewhat "used", with some small defects (funny smell, dressing door jamming,..). Nothing that took away our happiness in this resort. Lower your standards - this is not a tourist area, and go with the flow. I have been in many houses in the area and this resort is a 5* Hilton compared to the comfort of (most of) the local people. We stayed for 4 nights and I loved the place. We have been feeding the fish at the lake, had some great Thai meals at the property and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.||||Any question or remark was promptly solved or answered. So If I ever go back to this place, this will be my place to stay. Two important remarks: Learn Thai or Malay (Muslim as they say - English is limited everywhere in the deep south of Thailand) and take cash (since the resort only accepts cash for payment).||||The resort consists of a (I think 7) bungalows, some with balcony, others have no balcony but a...
