I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a place close to Don Mueang airport or people who are looking for organized and personalized half-day/full-day tours in and around Bangkok at reasonable prices. This was my second time to stay at the BluTel. The service you get here is by far the best in Bangkok and I've been to BKK on several occasions and stayed in many 5-star hotels. What makes this family owned 4-star hotel so special is the owners who are very customer-oriented and will take you on trips to see authentic Thailand. Of course, they will also take you to see all the turistic attractions if you wish. The hotel and guided tours are quite affordable and very convenient if you are traveling as a group coz they also have vans for transportation. If you are looking to explore Bangkok on your own, then this hotel might be a bit off the track, especially when considering Bangkok traffic. We found BluTel tours much more convenient since getting a taxi at certain hours in Bangkok is quite challenging and can be pricey as well. Other positive sides of this hotel are delicious Thai food in a hotel restaurant and swimming pool that is never crowded so you get a feeling you have a private pool just to yourself (open until 10pm). Ms. Stella, the hotel's concierge, will go far and beyond to meet all your requests and the cook even prepared some meals for us that were not on the menu. Prices at the hotel are more than reasonable (glass of beer 100thb, jug of beer 250bht, bottled beer 120-190thb, small bottle of whiskey 700thb, freshly sqeezed juice 70-80bht, fried rice 145-165thb, soups 180-250thb, noodles 110-170thb...). Breakfast has also a good verity of choices, including Continental and Asian choices. The hotel has a gym which we didn't use but if this is your thing the gym is sufficiently equipped. One thing you should be aware of is that many hotels in Bangkok look a bit outdated (5-star hotels too). This is primarily because of the weather and humidity so if you are not staying in a brand new hotel be prepared to see some rusty and outdated parts. Nevertheless, the BluTel has very high hygienic standards - the pool is cleaned every morning, rooms are cleaned every day, towels are changed every day, floors are regularly mopped... The rooms are very specious and beds are very comfortable too. I will definitely choose this hotel next time I...
