Firstly getting to this place. Can't use Grab because the hotel has not bothered to tell Grab they exist. But secondly, can't use anything because the wifi doesnt work. You can connect and log in but the speed is too slow to even open a single web page! Cannot WhatsApp. No Facebook. No email. Cannot complain about all this because only ONE of the staff speaks any English! A hotel, in Bangkok, with non English speaking staff???? Never come across that before. I asked where the pool was, they looked confused. I did swimming motions with my arms and they got it. 3rd floor. When does it close? 9pm. Came down at 8pm...shut. shut at 7pm (i was asking just before 7pm).. aaafggh. SO FRUSTRATING. Both gym and pool are 7 to 7... pretty poor.||||Of course if you really want to swim then you just walk outside the hotel...the road is flooded all the time due to some broken pipe or something. i had to climb on the wall to try and keep my feet dry. The room is ok. Hard floors so very noisy. Aircon works well but very noisy. Nice looking bathroom but it smells very musty. Good amenities but no conditioner. Bed comfortable but the sheets are made of something not cotton...not sure what it is...but its not cotton. Breakfast suited my need to diet...almost nothing there the looked good to eat!!! Nice pastry but plastic bread, not even much fruit, no bacon or sausage only ham floating in water and baked beans. ||||I know its a soft opening but seriously. This hotel wont last long unless it ups its game and...
Read moreAGODA *VIP PLATINUM (Booked 2 nights) ⚠️On arrival Hotel charged for room even though paid already in AGODA. (Found after calling bank) Plus receptionist wrote down credit card number!!? And they wanted 3-7 days to refund?? After much discussion they relented and refunded immediately. Then called bank to confirm. New hotel + New staff so word of caution. Now about hotel: Only opened ~3 months ago, rooms basic, beds/duvet new, shower (with rain shower), water pressure not strong, bath with window view (pull down blind) smart TV but never used it, kettle coffee/tea, no microwave, bathrobes, bathroom exhaust fan slow(but no steaming hot water to contend with), bath/shower max temp not hot, room walls bit plain need artworks/pictures. Gap under front door lets too much light in from corridor so if you're a light sleeper this is not going to help.Sound proofing is pretty bad with screaming kid in a room other end of the floor. Gym/pool 3rd floor, lockers/sauna✅steamroom❌(ON but not working🤷♂️) in male toilet + shower🚿 out of order🚫🤷♂️ but 2 showers next to pool. Basic Breakfast buffet 2nd floor, parking under hotel plus front of hotel. IMHO 4 Star hotel...just. Big yellow 'massage parlor' building next door. Lotus's Mall 10 min walk across overpass + chocolate factory up the road + many restaurants....
Read moreI live in Bangkok but my apartment was under renovations so I booked here to stay for 2 nights, I enjoyed so much that I prolonged my stay for another night. Big room with natural light, super clean and comfy bed. The staff is the high point here, I was treated so well since the check in until after the check because I accidentally left my jewellery box inside the safe, when I called the hotel on the day after the check out they have found it, so I went back to pick-up. If I can recommend something it would be to improve the service during the breakfast, one day at 9.21am had no more fried eggs, no waitress on the restaurant either, but after 10 minutes someone that seemed to be the owner went to the kitchen, right after that the food start to be served again. Vegetarian options were just egg fried rice (no vegetables) and fried noodles also with egg. Zero tofu options, a tad disappointing but they offer some options of salad n fruits, the coffee was really bad (made by machine), but inside the hotel have a tao bin machine that we can buy a decent coffee (just 30 baat). Also we can easily order food from the app so it wasn't a problem. I would 100%...
