Sea Sand Sun Hua Hin Resort Review

Overall Experience: My stay at Sea Sand Sun Hua Hin Resort offered a mixed bag of experiences. While the rooms provided an exceptional and pleasant retreat, certain aspects of the service and location could be improved for a more seamless and enjoyable stay.

Room: 5/5 Stars The rooms at Sea Sand Sun Hua Hin Resort are absolutely a highlight. They are incredibly spacious, impeccably well-maintained, and offer an outstanding environment for relaxation. The design feels modern, clean, and luxurious, and the amenities provided are excellent. My room offered a beautiful view, contributing significantly to a sense of calm and escape. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a truly restful night's sleep. From the decor to the functionality, every aspect of the room contributed to a top-tier experience.

Service: 3/5 Stars The service at the resort was somewhat inconsistent. While the staff were generally polite and tried to be helpful, a significant barrier was the language comprehension. There were frequent misunderstandings due to a lack of English proficiency, which often made simple requests or inquiries more challenging than they should have been. This sometimes led to delays or incorrect information, which could be frustrating. Improvements in English training for the staff would greatly enhance the guest experience, particularly for international travelers.

Location: 2/5 Stars The location of Sea Sand Sun Hua Hin Resort is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it offers a sense of seclusion and tranquility, being situated somewhat away from the bustling center of Hua Hin. This can be ideal for those seeking a peaceful escape with a long, private beachfront. The resort is located in Cha-am, which is just north of Hua Hin, within the Phetchaburi province. However, this peacefulness comes at the cost of accessibility. The resort is quite isolated, with very few, if any, shops, restaurants, or other attractions within walking distance. This means that guests are heavily reliant on the resort's facilities, or they will need to arrange for taxis or private transportation to explore outside the property. The on-site restaurant, while convenient, can feel limited if you prefer a wider variety of dining options. For travelers who enjoy exploring local eateries or want easy access to the vibrant nightlife and markets of Hua Hin, the location can feel restrictive and incur additional travel costs. It's truly a place where you're expected to stay put and enjoy the resort amenities, rather than venture...

A peaceful beachfront escape located near major attractions like Mrigadayavan Palace (or Maruekhathaiyawan Palace) and the Sirindhorn International Environmental Park, making it convenient for a balanced trip of relaxation and sightseeing.|| Why We Loved It Here:||🌊 Prime Beachfront: This resort sits on the Cha-am-Hua Hin coast and features the longest private beach in the Gulf of Thailand, stretching over 2 km. The private beach means plenty of space to relax, unwind, and enjoy uninterrupted views of the sea. It’s perfect for beach walks, catching a sunrise, or simply soaking up the sun without the crowds.||ðŸĐĩ Sea-View Rooms with Full Amenities: Every room at the resort offers a sea view, creating a calming ambiance and a scenic backdrop from sunrise to sunset. Each room is fully equipped with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay, whether it’s a short weekend escape or an extended holiday.||🛟 Large Ocean-View Pool: The resort features a spacious pool overlooking the ocean, perfect for those who love to swim with a view or relax poolside with the gentle sea breeze. There are plenty of chic spots around the pool for photos, making it ideal for anyone looking to capture beautiful holiday memories.||🛁 Our Stay – Premier 2 Bedrooms Suites Beachfront: We stayed in the stunning 2-bedroom Premier Suite, with a private jacuzzi and sweeping views of the ocean. The suite is impressively spacious at 115-120 square meters, comfortably accommodating up to 6 guests, making it perfect for families or groups of friends.|The suite features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room, and an expansive balcony with a 180-degree view of the sea. There’s also a private kitchen, ideal for whipping up quick meals or snacks during the stay. Inside, the suite is decorated in a clean, modern white tone, which adds to the feeling of relaxation. This Premier Suite layout is ideal for those looking for a luxurious yet homely space with plenty of room to spread out. With its amenities and space, it suits all types of travelers, from families with children to groups of friends of all ages. Whether you're here to unwind, explore, or celebrate, this suite is a fantastic choice for a memorable beach getaway.||If you're planning a relaxing retreat near Hua Hin, we highly recommend checking out Sea Sand...

Our low season gamble paid offâ€Ķ|My wife and I came down to Hau Hin for 5 nights as a break from Bangkok where we live. We had the Premier Beachfront King Room on the 2nd floor overlooking the beach, with a fantastic view.|As it was low season at the start of July there was a big discount too, with the room at just under 10,000 baht for the five nights including breakfast. The weather forecast had said 70% chance of rain everyday, but we had No Rain ! Some days were a little cloudy but also plenty of sunshine too. Plus we had the place more or less to ourselves, amazing!|On the Up-Sideâ€Ķ|Cha-am Beach is the widest area of beach along the whole Hau Hin coast and the sea is shallow quite far out, so it’s safe for children too. There is a large pool on the beachfront with nice alcove seating areas all around.|The staff are friendly and wonderfully helpful.|The restaurant has a good menu and we eat twice there on the evening.|You can hire a bicycle for 100 baht and only 20 mins away is the Srindhorn International Environmental Park (free in), a Mangrove Forest with raised walkways (also OK for a bicycle) to allow you to explore and see the mangroves close up.|Also only 15 mins away is the Mrigadayavan Palace, sixteen wooden buildings on stilts with adjoining covered walkways on the seafront, that was the seaside retreat for King Rama VI and his court between 1917 and 1925. |Both well worth a visit.|On the Down-Sideâ€Ķ|There is not much in the way of shops, bars, restaurants or entertainment locally.|You need to get a taxi into Hau Hin town for more nightlife which is circa 30mins away; taxis cost around 250 baht each way, so not a rip-off.||If you just want a nice beach and pool chill-out or time for a family with small children this is...

We recently visited the place and it was such great experience! Normally I wouldn’t drop reviews on hotels but I owe it to the nicest staff they have to put a rate on them. All the staff is so accommodating, their reception, their cleaners, their doorman, and every body in the hotel puts a smile and ask you what you need. We stayed for three days. The room was very clean, clean towels and sheets, great breakfast options, each room having Seaview which is the best and so relaxing. The rooms have netflix too so we enjoyed in rooms. They have the very wide beach and the pool is nice and cozy. All this for a fare price. We discovered they have some nice hall and facilities too. Will definitely come back. Such a relaxing time.
