Malai Asia Resort — Hotel in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

If you only want a bungalow on the beach set in nice gardens with a verandah, large bedroom and adequate bathroom, miles away from anywhere, but at a good price then this is the place for you. However, if you want more from your accomodation and surroundings then don't come here. If you do you will have the long sandy beach all to yourself apart from the few other guests. However, the surly service by the large female owner and her large daughter and the depressing mosquito riddled dining room together with the poor food does not make me able to recommend this resort. Even at breakfast, our eggs arrived half raw and we had to ask for them to be recooked, and we did not enjoy the evening meal either, as the dish presented was not the dish asked for! They speak virtually no English, so it is difficult to complain. It is, as I said, miles away from anything else so that, even if you have a car, there is really nowhere else to eat so you...

The Malai Asia resort at Thap Sakae Thailand is a jewel and only about 4 1/2 hours drive from busy Bangkok. You can get a private bungalow on the beach complete with air conditioning, satalite TV, refrigerator, shower & room service. The restaurant has a good menu of fresh seafood & other Thai dishes. It is very reasonably priced. Whenever my wife & I are in Bangkok we try to add a trip down to the Malai Asia Resort. Came here in August with two other people. Beaches were virtually empty apart from local fisherman. It is a serene and lovely location. Staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. We stopped here while taking the train from Bangkok to Koh Samui and so glad that we did! Only problems were that when we got there we didn't realize how far away the hotel would be from the train station, luckily a local helped us out and informed the hotel.||Food was great! Definitely...
