Ratana Hotel Rassada — Hotel in Ratsada

Definitely our worst stay in Thailand! Our room was really dark and not welcoming with the completely outdated furniture but still this wasn’t even in the slightest our biggest problem. Mostly we were disgusted by the couch, the bed and the suspicious stains on both of it. The musty smell of the bedsheets and the AC were also horrific and that doesn’t even capture how bad it really was. The whole room was only cleaned superficial, there was dust all over the cupboards and shelves, mostly in the back so you wouldn’t see it directly. From the moment we entered our room the sink didn’t drain down, when we complained, the only thing they’ve done was pulling the plug and putting it aside because the mechanism was broken. The shower was mostly clean but the water was either too hot or way too cold. The cleaning staff entered the room in our absence without permission. A second keycard wasn't included but without, it wasn't possible to run the AC while we weren't in the room. That's just something I would expect from a „,four star hotel". But all of this is probably nothing in comparison with the hallway and pool area which was for sure on of the most filthy places I’ve ever seen. The communication skills of the hotel employees are questionable or non existent, even if you use a translator they might not understand you. Horrible Location, there is basically no place to dine out near the hotel and the street right beside it is really loud. We left earlier even tho we had paid for one more night, we couldn’t handle...

At first we booked it for a week, but since everything was fine, we’ve decided to stay extra two weeks. Everything was going ok until one if the housekeepers ROBBED US! We left a small amount of money in a purse (30TBH) and a fresh pack of ciggarettes in a room and while she was cleaning the room she actually freakin’ STOLE that SMALL amount of money and 8 ciggarettes. We know this is not the money to be complaining about, but the thing is that it actually happened. What if we had left there more money? She obviously would’ve stolen that too.. wow.. When we went down to the reception and described the situation, a guy who was working at the reception started laughing at us! Staff is absolutely horrible, can’t communicate normally and has no respect to their customers. We didn’t want our room cleaned for the rest of the stay, because we were afraid something might get stolen again. We confronted a housekeeper and she had full pockets of money, but she was ignoring us and couldn’t look in to our eyes.
