Was a pleasant experience with great friendly and hospitable staff in a small size boutique hotel feel. I came with a friend who also have another room in the second floor and I chose my room to be deluxe with pool access (on the ground floor #1106).. king bed firm with lots of various types of soft and firm pillows. Full amenities even in small compact size room. But I like how it was lay out. Lots of electrical outlets.. various lightings set and quite a lot. Wall TV and well stocked fridge and snacks with glass bottles water(I like that no unnecessary plastics)… all bathroom ans toiletry kits and nice products. Beach towels/ bath ropes.. umbrella/irons/in closet… sliding door to access the pool next to the room could use fixing or changing as the aged and warm out look make it slide difficult to move and the lock is not very good… I like the seat w pillow and round table area at the small deck before stepping up into the narrow but very long pool that is reserved for people with pool access rooms. They have a larger main pool at the beach front area which is a short walk. Love the beach that are kept clean and good swimming beach during the time I went. Just a night stay but will return. I normally stay at Marriott Rayong but I do like this Hotel as well and like that it is smaller. It was very quiet the Friday night I stay and Saturday breakfast buffet was very good selections of Asian and western variety. Distinctively in the buffet is an actually fruits and vegetables juicer machine which they offer several variety of fresh squeezed juices… no packages juice or sugar added juice. The GM(Khun Noom หนุ่ม) showed up to oversee the operation and chat up with guests and staffs. All staff are fresh and well presented with good energy and enthusiasm. I felt Cody and homey. Great coffee machine too that you can choose large variety of coffees and coco.. I see various tea bags choices… I booked through booking.com and got good deal for my room Type with breakfast included. Will book here again other times and look forward to enjoy a few days longer. This was a short and sweet business...
Read moreThis is the second time I stayed at this place. I think the first time I was there was around June 2020 and at the time I thought of the experience very fondly. The hotel is in a very good condition. The room next to the pool might look a bit small, but it has all the amenities, plus -it's next to the pool. All the facilities are in very good condition: the private pool, the central pool, the beach chairs, etc. The staff were all very kind, humble, helpful, and had great service mind. However, in my first trip one of the biggest highlight for me was the restaurant next to the beach. It served GREAT FOOD and there were many traditional Thai dishes that could be rarely found in even other places in Thailand. This was actually my only and the biggest disappointment in my last trip because I learnt that the chef just resigned in December 2020 and they were now recruiting a new chef for it. I stayed there for 5 days and 4 nights and it would have been a solitary heaven on earth if only the same (or any equally talented) chef had been there. There are a few more things that think the hotel can improve. The first one is that I think the breakfast choices were quite limited on the days there were few customers. Second, I think the hotel should also inform the customers about the fire fighting training session. I had to leave the room urgently when I heard someone outside shouted "Fire, fire" not knowing it was a training session. All the staff looked sorry though when they told me it wasn't a real fire, so I didn't feel angry or anything (but I had to go to the lobby to get myself a new room card because I forgot to take it outside with me). In all, I think it's worth its price and a visit, and maybe I'll go back...
Read moreWe visited the Restaurant in the Aksorn Hotel as a family, two adults and two children, to enjoy the international buffet on Mother's Day. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and escorted to our seats with a view of the sea. The reception was friendly, and the staff was kind.
However, when we visited the buffet, we found it to be very basic. It was a simple standard with no significant variety. Most of the food was not really warm, which left us somewhat surprised and not very satisfied. The Thai food did not meet Thai standards; it was poorly seasoned and did not taste good. As an international buffet, we expected a wider selection of international dishes, but unfortunately, this was not the case. There was a cold pizza offered and some kind of pork roast with sauce, neither of which were particularly satisfying. Overall, we found the selection disappointing and not very appetizing. We will not be returning to the restaurant at the Aksorn Hotel anytime soon.
Another thing that stood out to us was the predominant presence of Chinese guests. It felt like 90-95% of the guests were Chinese. Unfortunately, this was also noticeable in the overall atmosphere...
