Le Park 23 Boutique Resort — Hotel in Roi Et Province

Easily found by google maps although down a narrow soi, mainly amongst housing so although the small road has passing traffic daytime it is quiet at night, also there is a few mama and papa shops close by so if you forgot some minor items they are on sale within walking distance. A 5-10 minute drive to the town centre and if you have no transport the very nice staff will order a taxi for you. The normal rooms at 600 baht are decent enough but when I viewed the V.I.P. room 1 which has a normal rate of 1000 baht, however a deal can be reached I immediately booked for 3 nights. Of more than average Thai quality the room was very spacious, well laid out and more than comfortable. A large bathroom with more space than even the larger European would need with modern facilities. Wi-Fi was pretty good most of the time but did drop some times, small fridge and coffee/tea making facilities are provided, please see pics. The normal Thai breakfast is provided but be there early to get it hot, basically you will survive the breakfast! The staff and owner were very friendly and more than helpful although mostly the staffs English was limited their kindness shined through. Note: I was VERY disappointed this trip. After Trip.com confirmed my reservation, they called me back several days later to advise the owner had failed to notify them that they had booked their last 2 rooms. This reflects poorly on management of Le Park, and for that matter on Trip.com. Nonetheless, the rating reflects my previous trip when my stay at LePark was good. I was not concerned about the lack of transport this time because I had a car and driver from Bangkok. Not a convenient location unless you have a car because it is in a residential part of town: nice area, but tough to get a samlor (for in town trips) or taxi for trips outside of Muang Roi-et. The hotel is slightly off the main road, hard to find as the signs are very faded (After noticing them they are everywhere along the soi.)||The room i had was VIP 1. Very spacious and clean.I liked the fact the airconditioner was on when i arrived. (Most places smell musty for the first twenty Minutes.) English not spoken but staff friendly and attentive. Bed firm and linen clean. Shower had hot water issue but staff apologetic. Fridge and coffee and tea facilities in room.Slight noise from road as bikes and cars came close to front door.
