Outside area is really nice, quiet, pleasant and great for nice for photos but the rooms are just not good enough neither comfortable:
-Pillows are absolutely terrible! Very huge and high with almost 30cm height (surely not for normal humans to sleep). We asked for smaller pillows which they provided however still very high, hard and the material inside very poor and elastic. . At the end sleeping without pillows.. This is definitely the worst thing in these rooms !!!
bed way too soft, waking up with back pain (this one is personal as personally I don't like very soft beds)
lack of a closet in the room to store clothes. If you stay one night it's ok as you keep your clothes in the suitcase or bags.. more than one night is just not good enough not having a closet and hangers to hang clothing. The room itself has space enough to have a closet in the wall between the bathroom.
paint in the walls is cracking and peeling off
in the bathroom there isn't any place to put your toiletries near by the sink.
air conditioning just in front of the bed to blow cold air into your face all night
breakfast is just very poor and when asked for some fruit for our baby, there was no fruit available and neither a baby chair.
The place is great and it's a shame the rooms aren't that good otherwise it would be a good place to stay longer and enjoy the all area around it with the...
Read moreHello everyone, or should I say Sawadee Krup, I am in Thailand. If you happen to travel to the Isaan Region, more specifically, Roi Et. Undoubtedly, Mae On Village Resort is a must consideration. First, your accommodation choices are limited, and the price point and comfortability certainly make Mae On attractive. It is not a five-star hotel. It's more of a camping cabin experience, but very comfortable (great AC and bed).
You must, and I emphasize MUST, choose the family suite with a balcony (Units A1, A2, and A3)—the twin-bed cabin/units are not to my liking, at all.
My recommendation is you should avoid these units.
I have stayed at Mae On Village Resort during multiple travels to the Northeast Region/Roy Et. and have been consistently satisfied with the price point great staff and restaurant. The staff are great!!!! Do not count on the TV set-up not good at all. I usually use my computer and stream my TV options. Give it a try. I think you will be pleasantly satisfied considering the limited...
Read moreWell spaced apart newly built spacious bungalows raised on pillars. Each has a large balcony which is great to lie on and look at the stars till late into the night (I could have slept there all night it felt so good) - a great relaxed feeling has been created here. Alternatively lying on the bed you look out through glass sliding doors to open green space, and still retain privacy. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, well fitted out using quality fixtures and linen. The rooms are very very clean and grounds well kept. |Quiet convenient location despite being only just off the main road into Roi Et (about 5-10 mins away). Lots of parking. ||A very big plus is the restaurant serving really delicious Thai food and the coffee shop. This was my third visit so clearly it had to have been good. I would also stop off for a meal even if...
