This lovely place is a bit more than a half hour off the main highway and can be a bit hard to find. All the signage is in Thai but with a GPS system it can be done.||It might help if management erected a few signs along the way in English to assist people in getting there. ||But once there it's worth the drive. ||We were greeted with a big smile from the young man at the entrance booth and then by a young lady standing on the steps waving us hello.||Our car was unloaded by staff who then escorted us to a very, very large room suitable for the four of us, two adults and a 17 and 5 year old. Two twin beds, a very large cot and a very large couch were provided so comfortable sleeping was available to all.||The ceiling is very high with a chandelier and there is an outside patio with a table and two chairs where we had drinks.||The grounds are spacious and well kept and bicycles are available for exploring. ||Everything is set up in close proximity so no long walks are needed to get to reception, the large pool or the restaurant. ||The restaurant suffers from some language difficulties but the food was very well prepared although the portions could be a bit larger.||The server stood at a respectful distance keeping an eye on things so no arm waving was needed to get her attention.||Our only complaints would be with the wifi in the room which made it difficult to connect with the server. And the TV only had Thai language programs and then went into one of those modes that made it difficult for anyone other than a geek to get programming since it displayed IT language and directions understandable by only a few. ||But these were minor problems overall and otherwise this was a most enjoyable stay. ||We...
Read moreI liked this hotel very much. It is located close to the khao yai national park and cozy cottages are located in the bosom of nature at the foot of small hills. Inside cottages are very cozy and clean. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay. There are houses next to the pool, which are bigger inside with a small balcony. I especially liked the cottages with a private terrace where we have stayed. I felt nice to relax and play with my baby on that big terrace. The while territory around is immersed in greenery and flowers. You can see it’s being taken care of: there are many roses around, they smell delicious. Around the territory there is a road, where you can comfortably walk with a stroller. The staff is nice and polite, they speak English. Breakfast was quite varied and tasty, everything was fresh. We were left full and satisfied. The only thing is that this place is located far from Bangkok, with traffic it can take 4 hours to get here, but if you stay for a few days on a long weekend - Mela Garden is very cozy, calm, quiet and just what you need for a...
Read moreWe stayed at Mela Garden in August 2017. This resort is quiet far from Khao Yai National park (approx. 45 -60 minutes so you would require a car or driver to get in and out of town. The resort itself is really beautiful. We stayed in a two bedroom unit. The rooms are separated by floors so you will have to go outside and down the stairs to see your guests/children. The grounds of the resort are beautiful and the our children enjoyed the use of the free bicycles. This resort is not that big but there are walking paths with fountains to visit. They have a fresh herb garden around the restaurant and the swimming pool is very large. The restaurant was very nice, the food was goo however the staff speak minimal english so if you require something specific it may not be possible, they did try their best. The wifi was excellent in the rooms and...
