The staff; there were many but all except 1 man, were lazy, inattentive and spent more time applying makeup or playing with their phones
I was joined in the shower by a cockcroach....
The reception staff were preoccupied with doing nothing rather than attending guests
At breakfast on the first day, I ordered orange juice from the very sparse menu. I was told there was no orange juice, so I had to accept fruit (the only other choice). This is a 4* hotel!!! Right??
I had fried eggs which were so undercooked I would imagine a safe haven for salmonella or listeria. There were a total of 4 guests and 6 staff. They were totally uncaring, unobservant and more interested in their own conversations
At breakfast on the second day I had to wake up one of the women who was engrossed on playing with her phone. She couldn't even be bothered to show me the menu. She just said 'you want eggs?" There were 2 other choices, one was soup
I asked for the menu and finally sat down to rest, and await my order. I was the only guest at this time. It wasn't busy. 5 staff. They could do so much better. Probably the worst aspect, among many failures was that I asked for orange juice again. They again said no 'orange juice' only fruit. Well, I told them all in harsh language that this attitude was no longer acceptable. There is a 7-eleven 2 km from the hotel. Bizarrely they went away and within 2 minutes I had orange juice. How bad is that lazy and uncaring and unprofessional attitude to not even bother to have a small supply of orange juice and if the had run out of juice, couldn't be bothered to go and get some
The only person with any sense of quality service was the bell boy who helped me to my room and was in attendance when I left. He received 1000B and I presented it to him, in front of the other staff, to show that a good wok ethic, a good attitude, a good manner is worthwhile...
Read moreI went there twice with my family. The hotel is a very great hotel for taking breaks or just for relaxing. It is near the city, so it is very accessible. I also like the restaurant, they serve various types of food. From seafood, steak, vegetables and more. They have a very nice breakfast too. It is also a great hotel if you're looking for halal food. Since the restaurant is so good, it is open for the public. There's a pool inside the hotel, but the hotel pool is located in a very open space where a lot people can see you. The hotel also provides convention centers, for conventions, meetings, performances and etc. The hotel is located in a very strategic place, it is near the city and it is right beside the beach. The beach provides a very astonishing view. The beach is very clean and very well maintained. The beach is a very enormous beach so you can do a lot of activities there like picnicking, sunbathing and etc. They also have a little stand where they sell keychains and other types of souvenirs. I would definitely go back there with my family and friends because its such a nice and relaxing place to...
Read moreSo Im here at Haad Kaew Resort, for a 5 day isolation with my colleagues, after signing off from our vessel.
1st off, upon our arrival, we are immediately processed by what i precieve as gov staff/officials. Temp checks, luggage checks etc. After which we are greeted by the super friendly and helpful resort staff, who assigned each of us, our rooms and a bit of info regarding our stay in the resort.
The Haad Kaew Resort isnt new, it has seen better days, and with some renovations/refurbishment, it would definately be a great place. My assigned room is a twin sharing setup and doesnt get the view of the beach, but instead a view of the front yard. The room has a balcony, a fairly decent toilet (the water pressure in the shower is a bit lacking), it has a fridge, tv, air conditioning which is no longer via the central built in ducts, but instead a wall...
