Khaosok Good View Resort — Hotel in Surat Thani Province

We visited the Khao Sok Good View resort in August 2024 and had a wonderful time. The setting is amazing, you feel like you are properly in the jungle! The owner and his family are such nice people, they really looked after us. |The rooms are lovely and clean and in good condition, with a nice seating area outside the patio doors where you can sit and watch the wildlife. We saw bats, Macaques, lizards, butterflies, squirrels among many others. |We were a family of 5, and ended up having 2 interconnecting rooms and a separate room a few door away. This was the only slight downside, as our family group was split up. If they could have offered an additional bed in one of the interconnecting rooms we would have all been in one place, and the rooms were easily big enough to accommodate this. The pool area is lovely and clean, if a little small, but we were the only ones in it so it didn’t matter. |The breakfast was lovely, as were the evening meals. All home cooked to order and delicious. |We did a couple of trips organised by the hotel and they were both worth doing. We did an escorted Kayak tour on the Phong river where we saw more incredible wildlife, and an escorted walking night safari in the Khao Sok national park, where again, we saw wildlife like we had never seen before. |It wasn’t the cheapest hotel of our tour of Thailand but it was worth every penny and we saw so many things we had never seen before. The kids will certainly remember it for a long time. We would definitely stay here again when we go back...

Highly recommended – a hidden gem with the warmest hospitality!

Our stay at Khao Sok Good View Resort was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Thailand. From the very first moment, we felt incredibly welcome and cared for – all thanks to Mr. Bao and his wonderful family, who run the resort with so much heart and passion.

Mr. Bao is one of the kindest hosts we've ever met. He and his family go above and beyond to make sure you feel at home. They arranged our transport, tours to the elephant consevertory, night safari and canoeing. For every trip they made sure we had everything and lent us their flashlights, drybags etc.

Their hospitality is genuine and unforgettable. You can tell they truly care about every guest’s experience.

The bungalows are nestled in lush greenery with breathtaking views of the surrounding limestone cliffs. We stayed in a family room, which is really 2 rooms with each its own bathroom and joined by a large balcony. Ideal for our family with teenagers.

I would really suggest to stay here at least 3 nights to experience.

I almost forgot the food, the breakfast are fresh and filling and we are every night at the resort were especially the fresh juices and shakes were delicious.

All in all, Khao Sok Good View Resort is more than just a place to stay – it’s an experience, made special by the incredible hospitality of Mr. Bao and his family. We left with beautiful memories and full hearts. Don’t hesitate – just book it. You’ll be so...

Mr. Bao and his wife were the best hosts. They provided free transport into the local village and also took us to Monkey Temple. They are incredibly generous hosts and very welcoming, smiley and friendly. The rooms are basic but very nicely done, clean, and have everything that you need. The wonderful large balcony has a view out to the Jungle and you can sit and enjoy the scenery. We saw a monkey come to a tree in front of us and many beautiful birds during our stay. The swimming pool is lovely, under the jungle canopy and cool and refreshing. Everything is kept immaculately clean. We enjoyed the walk from the gate that takes you down to reception and to our rooms, on a high platform through beautiful plants and jungle palms. There are fish you can feed in a large pond that the kids enjoyed. We dined at Mr. Bao's restaurant every lunch and dinner and the food was fresh and tasty and made with love. They also provided a lovely selection at Breakfast and fresh fruit that we had each day of our stay. We did a one day trip into the Khao Sok National Park recommended by Mr.Bao and our entire family loved it. Also visited the elephants to the left of the Good View Resort. Highly recommend staying here. We enjoy nice accommodation and think this should be more than two stars as it really is amazing! - and we would stay again and recommend to all friends and family. We think we honestly had the best accommodation and experience staying here...
