Champs du Lac — Hotel in Maritime Region

Beautiful, relaxing place! Came here to escape the heatwave in Lomé and I was surprised I had the entire place to myself! I camped with my own tent and paid 2000cfa. There are not a lot of options on the menu and prices of certain things were a bit too pricey for me (like 3000cfa for a portion aloko, even if luckily I paid 1500, maybe it was a smaller portion than intended?). It’s a place with lots of potential, but it felt a bit abandoned, for example the toilets and shower were not in top conditions and when I opened the water I had to wait 3-4 minutes before it turned from red to normal water colour (some pipework is necessary!). Quite a trip but definitely worth it. A beautiful place to serve as a getaway location. The trip there involves crossing a lake before reaching. If it is for a day trip, it's best to call ahead.

But if staying then that's no problem. The food is great, the scenery is alluring.
