Dar Gaïa — Hotel in Djerba Island

I cannot recommend this Airbnb enough – it was truly one of the most memorable stays I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, I felt like part of the family. The host was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, going above and beyond in every possible way to make me feel comfortable and cared for.

One of the absolute highlights was the breakfast each morning – thoughtfully prepared, fresh, and absolutely delicious. It felt like such a treat to start each day with such a warm and generous spread, often shared with lovely conversation and local tips from the host.

What really stood out was how genuinely helpful and kind the host was. Whether it was offering advice, helping me organize small details of my trip, or just checking in to make sure everything was going smoothly, I always felt looked after. Their warmth and generosity turned what could’ve been just a stay into a meaningful experience.

Staying here didn’t just feel like booking a room – it felt like being welcomed into someone’s home with open arms. If you’re looking for a place with heart, soul, and real hospitality, this is it. I’ll be recommending it to everyone I know, and I can’t...

What a fabulous place to stay! We spent four nights here, and would happily have spent more. Zouheir is an excellent host. Beautiful gardens surround his enormous home in the countryside of Djerba Island. The rooms are very comfortable, large and modern, but are decorated in the local style with excellent wood sculptures in niches. The bed was quite comfortable and the bathroom a pleasure. The setting is unbeatable, away from the touristy resorts of the coast, but close enough to visit all the sites on the island and explore. The most magical place we've stayed at during our entire trip through Tunisia! Stunning architecture, super thoughtful design, aesthetic and comfortable inside out. The host, Zouheir is an amazing person, always ready to assist (knows everything about the island!). The breakfast is fresh and delicious and the optional dinner as well. The pool is really big and fits in well in the beautiful garden....
