This is the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. What frustrates me is that this hotel has somehow managed to obtain a 4 star rating, when in reality it’s anything but. When my husband and I arrived the staff were really friendly and tried their best to accommodate us by letting us see 3 other rooms after us saying we didn’t like our first one, but the truth is all the rooms are just as bad as each other. The hotel was so bad that we spoke to the agency we booked it through about our options move hotel or leave early and go home! Firstly starting with the rooms, the carpets in the bedrooms and the hallways smell. The ones in the hallways are particularly bad, smelling like cat pee. It is also torn and stained. The bathroom is full of limescale and rust, infact there is more limescale showing than silverware. There are also broken tiles all over the walls. The bedsheets in the bedrooms and towels are not clean. One of our towels had a massive yellow stain on it and our bedding had stains on it that looked like blood. In the room, you get a fridge but they don’t provide water or any drinks. You have to pay a daily fee to use the safe in the room. Furniture like cupboards in the rooms are all broken and our sliding balcony doors wouldn’t lock. The shower is also very rubbish, barely any water comes out and it is broken so doesn’t stay up above your head anymore. You have to hold it up when you shower. Also, good luck getting a top up in soaps, we had to keep asking for some as the clearer would forget! In regards to the hotel, it’s very old fashioned, the cocktails are disgusting and we were told we needed to go to the second floor to order alcoholic drinks, this could not be done by the pool. They also restrict the times that the bars serve alcohol so your not technically “all inclusive”. You have to pay a cash deposit for a silly pool towel and this can’t be done by card. The hotel demands cash yet has no cash point on site. The only things I can say that are positive about this hotel is the staff, in particular the entertainment staff. They go above and beyond to get you involved in activities around the hotel to ensure your having a good time. The meals are rubbish for all break, lunch and dinner. Lacking taste and creativity

Avoid at all costs – worst hotel experience I’ve ever had We arrived at this hotel at 10PM, went through the paperwork, and were given the key to our first room. When we opened the door, we discovered it hadn’t even been cleaned after the previous guests — dirty towels, unmade bed, the works. When I went back to reception, I was told there were “no available rooms” and was asked if we could just “spend one night in that room.” Absolutely unacceptable. After refusing, the receptionist suddenly “found” another room for us. Problem solved? Not even close. The key didn’t work. Back to reception again, and once more they told us to just stay in the filthy room. After more arguing, a third room was “found,” finally in an acceptable state. By then, it was 1AM. The next day, we were moved back into the original room, this time cleaned, but stocked with just one towel and a single roll of toilet paper for two adults. From that point on, we had to complain daily just to get basics like towels or toilet paper. The rooms themselves look like they haven’t been updated since the 1960s — filthy, worn out, and depressing. Other issues: Cockroaches in the downstairs toilets. People openly smoking in the lobby under “No Smoking” signs, with staff not caring in the slightest and even at times the staff themselves smoking inside. The Hotel Director (working at reception during the day) is rude, dismissive, and made it clear he doesn’t care about guests. On the last day, when we asked for a late check-out to shower before our transfer which was at 6PM and we were forced to check out by 12, he literally laughed, said he was “overbooked,” and told us to complain to the PR lady. The only positive I can mention is the bar staff and animation team, who were friendly and did their best. Unfortunately, that doesn’t make up for the overall nightmare. Final verdict: This place has completely put my family off returning to Tunisia. Until management seriously addresses the staff’s attitude, the disgusting state of the rooms, and basic guest needs, this hotel has no chance of keeping international tourists happy. I would give it zero stars if I could.

I recently stayed at El Mouradi Skanes Hotel, and my experience was mixed—some aspects were truly positive, while others were quite disappointing. First, I want to sincerely thank the young staff members in the dining area, especially those responsible for organizing and assisting with the tables. They were professional, polite, and helpful, creating a pleasant and welcoming dining atmosphere. They truly deserve appreciation for their hard work. However, I was disappointed by the behavior of some staff members serving food behind the counters. Their attitude was often disrespectful, with looks or comments that made guests feel greedy or excessive. This kind of behavior is unacceptable in a hotel of this level—every guest deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Room service was also below expectations. Beds were made daily, but no real cleaning was done. Floors were not swept, bathrooms were not sanitized, and surfaces were left untouched. Basic cleanliness and hygiene standards were not met. I also noticed a lack of cleanliness in the swimming pool and hallways. The pool water didn’t appear well-maintained, and the corridors were often dirty and poorly cared for. What concerned me the most, however, was the clear difference in how foreign guests and Arab guests were treated, which seemed closely tied to tipping. Some guests received special attention—nicely decorated tables and personalized service—while others struggled to find a clean table to sit at. Even the room assignments reflected this bias, with foreign guests often placed in rooms near the reception, while Arab guests were given rooms much farther away, making movement around the hotel inconvenient and tiring. This type of favoritism seriously damages the hotel’s reputation. A true hospitality experience should offer equal respect and service to all guests, regardless of nationality or tipping. I sincerely hope the hotel management takes these comments seriously. This hotel has great potential, and with improved cleanliness, fair treatment, and proper staff training, it could offer a much more enjoyable and respectful experience for all its guests

Stayed here and it was ok. Its definately not a 4 star hotel. Ive stayed in places with less stars that should be higher on the star rating. Its a very our dated hotel. The rooms are minimally clean. The bathrooms in the rooms are quite disgusting with stains and dirt. We also had to ask for a room upgrade as the first one we received stunk so bad we couldnt stand it. You have to pay a cash deposit when you get there which we had the intention we would receive back but we didnt. Eventhough everywhere else we have been we got it back at the end. We also spoke to a staff member that said we got it back but then reception said we didnt? Make it make sense. The male that works days on reception (im guessing is the manager) is honestly so rude and seems like he doesnt want to be there. We also lost money when paying for the pool table as it wasnt working and they refused to give us our money back. For an all inclusive you would think you wouldnt have to pay for a game of pool. Also another odd thing is at the bar where you get drinks they make you pay for water… yes you have to PAY. I paid for all inclusive why do I have to pay for water? Also the drinks you do receive come in stupidly small cups that you can drink in one gulp… Other than that the food is ok but you have to go as soon as it opens because you get the crappy left overs. Just a heads up for anyone going. If you do excursions with the hotel. DO NOT DO the free trip to a shop which they offer as you go there and the staff in the shop force you to try on clothes and shove them down your throat. Then when you say you dont want it they fill out forms to make you pay for it. They do not really let you leave when you want to. Other than this the entertainment staff are AMAZING. They honestly made us feel welcome and made sure you were well looked after. There isnt much to do around this hotel in walking distance so if you want to explore I would say book a hotel closer to where you want to go. As you also do not have data out there so booking your own taxi is off the cards. The wifi at this hotel is also shocking. Oh and also the cleaning ladys will knock your door and just enter your room even if you have the do not disturb sign on. We had the lady clean our room for one day and she had the audacity to go through my pjs and underwear as when we got back the pjs that were underneath everything was on the bed… why do they feel the need to do this? Makes me feel like she went through all our belongings. And they kept questioning us throughout the week as to why we dont want our room cleaned? This is exactly why because you go through our belongings and cannot be trusted!!! Also be prepared to be bitten from head to toe. The amount of flies and insects in the rooms and around the hotel is disgusting. I would definately come back to tunisia but not this hotel. Also seen their replies to reviews saying they should have brought it to their attention when they were there… people do you just dont listen and are rude or laugh in...

(you'll find a lot of reviews but read this if you want the FULL TRUTH )Hi , this is my experience as a Tunisian who stayed at this hotel , first it is a pretty hotel , there's a lot of beautiful places here except for the beach the water has a strange color I tried swimming in it it was good but like I said the color is greenish yellow and the beach is small like there isn't a large place in the sand . The rooms , we're a family of 5 so they charged us for two rooms but one room was enough for all of us to sleep in since it had 5 beds and the other had 4 beds , they gave us rooms 573/574 , they were a bit far from the reception but that's okay , but what was really pissing us off is the service the cleaning lady that was taking care of those rooms was extremely rude to all of us and she only cleaned the toilets after talking to her multiple times on the 3rd day of our stay and when my parents were complaining about somethings in the rooms she gave them a dirty look and didn't talk properly and always said that she would take care of it and she never did (we told her a lot of times about big towels since they only gave us small ones for like your hands , she couldn't say that they didn't have any but she said ok I'll bring you ones and ofc she didn't so the next day we told her again and she gave us only two small towels between the two rooms and like I said we're 5ppl so mum went to talk to her and the lady got mad and started yelling at my mom "GO REPORT ME , JUST GO GO TO THE RECEPTION AND REPORT ME"and took the two towels from my mom's hands and left us with none. we didn't care that much about the towels but the attitude that she gave us when we're paying her to do this job), another thing about the service ALL the attention is on the tourists like those who come from Europe, USA , Russia... they treat so much better than us Tunisian who are from their country. And there's no wifi in the rooms only in the reception and it's so slow , however the food was nice and the pools are nice but there's no toilets outside by both pools you have to walk by the reception to get to the toilets it isn't a long walk if you're in the bridge pool but it is if you're in the water slides pool but if you're there I think it would be easier to just get back to your room , and I didn't like the fact that you have to walk through the reception to get from the pool or the beach to your room . another thing I liked about this hotel is that there's a lot of places to stay in (this review is only about THIS hotel I'm not speaking about all of the Mouradi hotels, for example we went two years in a row to "El Mouradi Kantaoui" there was some bad things but it was 10 times better). Another thing the room places is. really confusing, we got lost a couple of times (I know this is a lot but I said everything I had ) there was a lot of good things here but I don't...

My honest review: I think this is a decent hotel for the price. There are some downsides, but also some positives. My mom and I checked in two days ago. Because of the terrible reviews, I was seriously considering cancelling the trip and was very skeptical about this hotel. But most of the horror stories people write about didn’t happen to us. The room is very old, but clean — no bedbugs or other insects. We are staying close to reception, so the Wi-Fi works fairly well. The gym is small and outdated, but free, and you can easily do a basic workout. The sea is clean, warm and free from seaweed. We weren’t asked for any deposit for the room, only a tourist tax and a refundable deposit for the towels. Massages and hammam treatments are quite affordable here — 30 dinars for a 30-minute hammam session, and massages are in the range of 100–120 dinars, which is fair. Now for the downsides: There are way too many guests who behave like savages — it's like they’re starving and fighting their way to the food. The red carpet in the hallway is filthy. In the snack bar, staff don’t wear gloves and touch the food with bare hands, which is off-putting. The pushiness of the sellers is annoying — it’s hard to relax when people constantly try to sell you something or start a conversation you didn’t ask for. Regarding water: I saw a lot of complaints, but honestly, I haven’t seen anyone being charged for water. There's enough free bottled water available. Because of the huge number of people, it’s nearly impossible to find a spot by the pool or on the beach unless you come very early in the morning. A suggestion for the management: please introduce a rule that prevents people from leaving their towels on loungers for more than 2 hours unattended. People just throw their stuff on sunbeds and leave, which means others can’t find a spot. Overall, don’t expect a 5-star experience at this price — you get what you pay for. We don’t drink alcohol so I can’t comment on that. The food is basic but there is plenty of it, no matter what time you come. I don’t understand why people say they only got leftovers — that wasn’t our experience. It’s actually a good idea that the staff serve the food themselves — otherwise it would all be gone, since some people pile up three portions just for themselves! Another suggestion to the management: Please put salt shakers on the tables — the food is very underseasoned. Also, it would be great if tables were re-set properly after each wave of guests: napkins, cutlery, etc. Install proper drink machines (like Coke or Sprite) in the restaurant — currently there’s just one broken lemonade dispenser, which is very inconvenient. Everything else was fine, but we probably...
