I have spent some time at the Borj Dhiafa recently due to work. I found this establishment to be very well maintained and the staff to be knowledgeable, courteous, and very friendly.
The facilities of the Borj were recently updated. The atmosphere and feeling the place gives you will be of Tunisian beauty and relaxation. The walls are thick, solid, and provide a good deal of privacy. The beds are good to sleep on, and the Air Conditioning was also recently upgraded while I was there. The rooms will get cool!
Their is a sizeable room for Work Meetings you can schedule to use. It was equipped with a projector you can use along with a Laptop Hookup. The onsite restaurant prepares great Tunisian cuisine that should please discerning guests as well as those who are new to Tunisia. It is open from breakfast to late dinner times. The cooking staff really worked hard and strove to please everyone. There is a large indoor pool we can use as well for enjoyment.
There is secured free parking (as well as a garage) for guests who are are staying at the hotel. There is also free Wi-fi as well for guests.
When the sun goes down, the Borj lights up beautifully; almost like a theme park in many ways. I found myself wanting to take pictures and enjoy the color scheme. It is also a great place to have your wedding as I saw many pictures and wedding celebrations occuring on the site.
But most importantly, I found the staff to be the best feature of the Borj. While there, I noticed how the staff handled the easiest of us all the way up to the hardest of us to please. Tunisian hospitality, courtesy, and dignity was exercised with each one of us. If you need help, and the staff member does not know the answer, they will immediately seek the proper staff person to help you with your need.

Read moreVery Distinguished and Elegant Hotel ||Overall this hotel is the epitome of elegence and style and undoubtedly 5 star. The staff were kind considerate, helpful and lovely, the sumptuous surroundings were beautiful. The lobby area and bar and dining room are stunning to look at with elegant paintings and furnishings. Plenty of space everywhere with lovely lounge areas on all floors. The pool area was also impressive immaculately clean and quiet. The food in the restaurant was also very good. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. ||Only minor suggestions for improvement:|1. The cigarette burns on both the common area carpets and bedroom carpets were unsightly. Suggest a no smoking policy or please repair these. |2. A sitting out area or sun terrace would be very nice. Could a portion of the hotel be reconfigured to allow sunseekers to enjoy the sun.|3. The bedrooms whilst beautiful were a little busy with furnishings. Maybe some items not needed. ||Thank you....we have already recommended this hotel to...
Read moreBorj Dhiafa fully lives up to its five-star rating. The property pairs Sfax’s historic “borj” fort-style stonework and mashrabiya latticework with polished business-class comforts.
Service was attentive from the outset: fresh lemonade appeared the moment we arrived, and minutes after check-in a waiter brought a chilled bottle of water and a generous fruit platter to our room. The staff’s warmth never wavered and echoes the consistently positive remarks I read before booking, which praise their professionalism and kindness.
We did not have time to visit the Aroma Spa, sauna or hammam, but my son was delighted with the fitness area, and breakfast impressed us with ripe local fruit and fresh pastries.
The rigorous standards that once defined every aspect of Tunisian hotelkeeping (service, maintenance, cuisine and attention to detail) have unfortunately faded in many properties since 2010; Borj Dhiafa remains one of the...
