I spent 3 night in this hotel during a business trip to Gafsa. The hotel was booked by my local partners on a full-board basis. ||The hotel is undoubtfully very astonishing at a first sight: 5* (probably more in the past), surrounded by a high wall and a wide garden with fountains and a giant pool, romantic view on the desert mountains, luxury decorations. However my impression is this hotel used to be lavish structure now incurring decadence. ||The room itself was quite a nightmare: the very kitsch decorations make proper cleaning almost impossible, with the result that the room was dirty of dust and stains. The bathroom seemed clean enough, just old and not looked after, despite I found some dried risotto attached on my bath towels (disgusting!). The bed was not comfortable at all, I could never sleep well. Internet connection does not work in the rooms. Noise insulation almost not existing. The door never looked safely closed and the lock didn't work smoothly. The room was at the ground floor, with a beautiful balcony on the garden. Unfortunately the doors were barred, with the result that both it was not possible to go outside and the room was dark. ||Food was good, both breakfast and dinner.||I would be curious to stay at this hotel during the summer season when the structure is supposed to work at full capacity, in order to see if the stay is more enjoyable. I could say I do not recommend Jugurtha Palace, however I do not think there are many other...

Things i like about this hotel: -it is located next to a beautiful mountain, so in the morning the view is amazing. -it is huge, with different buildings and blocs. -the food is mostly traditional and delicious. -the swimming pool is big. -the hotel architecture is traditional and inspired from the Ottoman Empire. Things i dont like about this hotel: -it is hard to find it, it is located in a far place from the main city and cant be easily found at night. -some rooms are not provided with WIFI. -there isn't too many choices of food. -the fornetures and chairs are kinda old and its a bit uncomfortable to sit of them. -for the conference room, the equipements are old. Overall, it was a fine hotel. But depending on your reason to visit it, your experience can be different than mine. If you are staying at it just for the night or to visit the city, i guess u will enjoy the stay. But if you need it for work or conferences or something like that, then i recommend looking for another hotel that is more accessible to you.
