Samarons Hotel — Hotel in Maghreb

The positive points;||The room was large and the Hotel was in the main Street of Tunis where the hotels and restaurants are.||Very kind and helpful staff in the reception. I think the name of the reception staff was Mr.Nadel. ||The negative points;||The room was not clean at all||The shower was broken,you can not fix the shower head on the shower fauced. Ok it was only one night stay for me and was to tired to ask for another room.||There was no water, no kettle in the room. I asked for a kettle and a cup to drink a tea. I asked many many times and finally they brought it but water was still missing. So I said, only one night stay, do not complain for a bottle of water. There was no soap in the room also, thanks good they brought one.||There was no bath slipper in the room. But in a 5 star hotel you are expecting a slipper.||Than the breakfast, they said they will bring it to the room.||I phoned them at 08,00 in the morning for breakfast, at 08,30 still no breakfast. I phoned again and get the reply “in 5 minutes”, again no breakfast. I phoned again, again and again and said at last that I have on 09.30 a meeting and need the breakfast at 09,00 in my room. Finally the breakfast was there. Unbelievable, very bad Quality of a glass of juice, very bad Quality of White cheese and very bad Quality of kashar cheese. The water for tea was cold. Hello, |1. The hotel interior design was Ok/average.|2. the towels seem to be washed more a 1000 times. Their was no good variety of food at breakfast(the breakfast fits a 3 star hotel not 5 stars, also you have to speak to get milk or a bottle of water you don’t find them on counter/buffet counters.|3. I had to change the room from the 5th floor to the second floor because of the noise coming from night club party I could not sleep.|4. You have to pass through the security entrance all the time instead of the main big front door, maybe because they have some concerns about intruders of people who enter without reservation or some other reasons, for me it was annoying because I have to pass beside the security personnel.|5. The hotel lobby is full of Libyans who look like pirates staring at every person who enters or leaves the hotel.|6. The hotel room I slept in had know door tags and the electronic black panels that tells staff not to annoy me is broken.|7. The hotel room had know safe to put my money or passport, I had to take them always in my pocket.|8. Damn the people are always asking for more money in taxis and restaurant (I have to be fair not all of them).|(The manager of the hotel seem to be so economical and stingy not...

It was a wonderful place full of beautiful memories but unfortunately with many drawbacks||||upon arrival greeted by the friendly security (lovely people) also by the receptionist the gentleman who work in the evening, who gave us the choice of rooms, our room was beautiful and comfortable but the linen was old and damaged especially the towels||||the next day at breakfast that was hearty and delicious but shocked by the behavior of the server chief a big men his face reflects the hardness that speaks dishonesty with the staff as well as the customers, at 10:30 forces the staff began to traced the bufet and the people eating, knowing that the hour began the breakfast between 6 to 10:30||the governor came to argue with him on our heads and we are eating even if we do not understand their language lol after she secretly takes food and leaves|| ||the lady working at the reception her way too much rude, gives no info or correct advice||||the elevator was broken for 2 days, we had to climb the stairs to the 4th floor||||Unfortunately for...
