Since I was flying on a very early time I stayed for the night. Note that there are no direct exit on the freeway to the hotel when you come from the city. You need to drive 2 km and then turn back. The same goes for drivning to the Airport. The check in was very quick and smooth. However there are no concierge to help with your bags, which is rather remakable for a hotel of this class. Secondly there are a threshold when entering the room, so you need to lift the bags over them, and If you have wheelchair ol likewise it will be a little bir difficult. Very strange. The room was small/medium in size. For overnight staying completely okey. The beds were actuall very good, but only one pillow in the room, but the reception was very helpfull and gave us an extra. The room is very clean and everything works fine. The TV was very small though. And the air conditioning did not chill the room even when we used the maximum power. So that is a minus. The bathroom works without any issues. The shower is very good, the temperature and pressure was excellent. I am split in stars, the room quality would easily give a 4 star rating, but all this small stuff drags down the point. So it ends with a...
Read moreI stayed at the hotel recently. Here are good points and bad ones. Good points: 6 minutes to esenboga airport by taxi. Clean rooms, ok for a short stay.
Bad: Be prepared to be told to open the window if the room is warm. This happened with me. The room was warm. Only the heating was working. I was told that Ankara was cold and it became hot only that day so please open the window. The window can only be partially opened because it is locked with security locks. There is a lot of traffic noise after you open the window. They offered to change the room but at the same time ACs across the hotel were not working. They finally unlocked the window security lock and asked me to sign a document that was in Turkish that i could not understand. The guard tried to explain the Turkish language but I couldn't and so I refused to sign the document. Suddenly 30 minutes after the drama ACs were switched on. I have stayed in 5 star hotels and hotels with no stars but the IBIS hotel was the...
Read moreVery close to the airport so handy, 5* for being clean but 1* for the very very small room. We booked a family room for 2 adult and 2 children, we requested a baby bed and they didn't provide it. Baby had to sleep between us and that meant no one slept comfortably all night. There is no space for a baby bed and no table or space to move in the room. Not suitable for a family at all. No noise from traffic and no noise from outside the room so good for a lobe traveller or couple if you just need to sleep on a clean bed. Very clean bathroom, bedroom but only 2 large towels for 4 people. Breakfast was awful. Eggs were like car tyres, meneme was only warm edible thing. Pastries were like rocks, coffee and tea ok. Very little choice and very little quality products. I was expecting more from ibis especially with Turkish produce and breakfast being so beautiful. Tomatoes and cucumber looked old and inedible. This...
