This is my deepest and longest review. I’ve gone down the rabbit hole with this one. This is what I’d like to call a mega hotel. 5* with over 650 rooms. Let’s look at the good, the bad and the ugly. Wifi - most of the time this was ok and usable. Most aboard hotels are terrible. Air-con was decent and free and the room was quite spacious The room was in a quiet location and we didn’t get much out door noise from other guests. But the odd door bang here and there did happen. Soft close doors I’m sure would fix it. The cleaners on the most did a terrible job. Didn’t clean the floor properly or clean under the beds. They did a nice touch a few times tho and made the towels on the bed into swans. Also the mini bar was always stocked and this is also free. There isn’t much outside noise. Small bar near pool but most of the shows are about 10 mins away so you can get to sleep here. Clean pool and I didn’t see cockroaches or ants in the rooms or restaurant areas. Good amount of slides for adults and kids. But the main pool was always rammed. Go to the beach area there are lots of things to do there and other pool areas Got shops downstairs in the hotel but almost double the price. So go outside and go to the local shop 5 mins walk to save some money The photo places were very pushy and ask you every time you go past and if they see you outside. They forced my kids to have photos with parrots on the first day when going to the pool area. Good location for them to grab you I guess as there isn’t another way to get there. Yes I brought the pics but £40 was bit steep. Market comes here Sunday. Can be some nice items here but Extremely rude vendors. Some of the worse I’ve seen very pushy and don’t take no for an answer. Local places will try and rip you off too. Also had one place short change me. Seems like they will do anything to get a few extra pounds. For a 5 star the food wasn’t nice. There was often lots of choice but very repetitive. The meat didn’t taste fresh and it was like a Black Friday sale. Guest will que outside and rush in like the food was going to run out. They will stack their plates really high for example taking 50 odd cherry’s or 30 chicken wings or filling the breakfast cereal bowl to the top with milk. Very greedy. Also they were shocking with the seating. You would often see 2 guests taking a 8 person table and wouldn’t share the rest. Even when I asked to join they just said no? Really strange and no one else would come to join their table. This happened 3 times. They charged for orange juice. If you’re going to go for food the waffle bar outside and the ones on the beech front are the ones to go to. Much better food and fresh but sell out quickly. The bread was often hard and wasn’t nice. MURAT. ZAYNEL stood out in the restaurant area. Helpful guys. GOKHAN was terrible. Extremely rude and shouldn’t work with customers with his attitude. The showers were decent. Good flow of water and powerful. The mattresses on the other hand are so uncomfortable really need a change There was a fair 5 mins walk from the hotel. Not big but will keep the kids busy There are shows on every night for quests at an outside theatre. We saw a really good magic show. Highly recommended. Very rude guests. Can’t que. Push ahead. No consideration. They would put towels all over the pool area loungers to keep in the sun. Go to the beach. Wasn’t busy and a lot better than the hotel. Everyone was getting the lifts so really busy at times in the day. Worse issue was lots of kids having laser pens and shining them everywhere all the time. Very dangerous. Al la carte was really good. Great food and great service. Every were asks for tips. This hasn’t been the case over the past years we came to Turkey. I’ve been coming to different areas for over 15 years. But something they are all trying to adopt. Brits were well mannered. Said hi etc spoke to kids. Over all an ok holiday but for just under 5k for 10 days for 4 people I’d say it wasn’t great value for money.

Travelled: 20/08/2025 We really wish we’d taken the Facebook reviews more seriously. This didn’t feel like a 5-star resort — more like Butlins in the sun. By day 7, we were ready to go home. We came in with the mindset of “let’s make the most of it,” but this time, it just didn’t work. We wouldn’t return and genuinely don’t understand how they have so many repeat guests. Illness & Staff Attitude I was sick for a day, then my friend, then my child got really ill on the last two days — vomiting, diarrhoea, zero sleep, and we were worried we wouldn’t make the flight. I asked about keeping the room longer because my child was clearly unwell. I understand late check-out usually costs extra, but when I asked where he should wait, I was told “the lobby.” Really?! A sick child in a public space? No compassion. They even questioned if he was really ill — I had to prove it. Reception staff laughed and chatted amongst themselves while I stood there, exhausted and stressed. Maybe a language barrier, but the overall attitude felt cold and dismissive. Pool Closures The main pool was shut for 4 out of 9–10 days due to faeces in the water. The island slides? Same issue — closed twice due to poo or vomit. I get that accidents happen, but this seemed excessive. Possibly linked to the amount of people falling ill? Either way, not acceptable. We weren’t allowed to use pools at other hotels even when ours was closed, so we were stuck with the overcrowded island. After visiting, we returned to find our floats and toys stolen — staff didn’t help at all. Sunbeds & Towels You need to be up at 4–5am to get a decent sunbed. They’re crammed in with barely any space between. Towels must be returned by 7pm and aren’t available again until 8.30am — by which time, sunbeds are gone. We had extra towels from a room move, so rotated them. I’d recommend bringing your own as backup. All-Inclusive? Not Quite If you’re with Jet2, you get one extra bar on the island — not clearly communicated. The “all-inclusive” covers meals, a small ice cream window (12–2pm, which we only learned about from other guests), pool use (when open), and the island — but many things cost extra. The Island = Money Pit It’s designed to look like a kids’ paradise, but most activities cost extra: • £15 for 30 mins soft play • £15 for 15 mins scooters • Slushies, popcorn, snacks, cocktails — all charged, and cocktails are London prices The pools were packed and warm like bath water. Not enough rings for the slides, queues were long, sunbeds crammed into every spare corner. We saw fights almost every day — over sunbeds, theatre seats, poolside behaviour. At least 5 incidents in our 9–10 days. It didn’t feel like a relaxing holiday atmosphere. Some staff were great, but many stood around vaping, smoking or glued to their phones — including lifeguards. Not very professional. The floors were dangerously slippery with no mats, and very little cleaning. We saw several people fall. Signs were there, but clearly not enough. Food & Info Food was bland and repetitive. Not great for anyone with dietary needs. My friend couldn’t even get chicken without the bun (gluten intolerance) — apparently you need a special card from guest relations, but no one tells you that. There was also very little information on where to eat or when. No maps or guidance. Dinner was 7–9pm — late for young kids and always crowded. No help from staff. Burger Land was dirty, food stale, and floors dangerously slippery. The best food we had was from the left-side food court on the island — the right side wasn’t great. Entertainment Only on the island — which was always chaos. Unless you turned up early, no chance of a seat. We gave up after night one. Didn’t want to spend every evening packed in and paying extra for the experience. Highlights? We met some lovely people and went on brilliant excursions — the best part of the trip. But the hotel itself? Disappointing.

Don't recommend Eftalia Hotels to anybody! The worst hotels ever. The first day after the shock I was calling my agent to change the hotel at my own expense ... So bad! The eftalia hotels are at full capacity but here management don't bother about the capacity and everything free in this "ultra all inclusive" is for a short interval: - 100% + capacity bed base ... Staff can cover 30% - which makes all staff bored and super-nervous (understandable) - non-hygienic restaurant plates - The main restaurant is open 2 hours - for breakfast 2 hours - for lunch and 2 hours for dinner !!!! Imagine how 3000 people fight and go for 2 hours through the restaurant hall. - the quality of the food is terrible. Many people complain about ill problems. From our group there were people with days spent in the rooms because of a stomach problem. There were other people who came to the hospital. - free ice cream for children is from 14 to 16 (when children sleeping) at one place on the beach for the 4 hotels (8000 + people) we waited yesterday for an hour to take ice cream for children - only 1 (one) volleyball court for the 4 hotels - cheap alcohol is not free anywhere - on the beach and some of the bars. Fresh and normal alcohol are paid. - A la cart restaurants are allocated 1 per room IF OVER 7 NIGHTS! The queue is at 7:30 am and the booking times for is only from 9 to 11. - aquapark facilities work from 10 to 12 and from 14 to 17 !!! did not work for 3 of the days during our stay. - to accommodate us at reception they want 10 euros near our group - The hotel's furniture is the cheapest possible in Turkey - in the whole complex and the beach is full of franchise style bazar - offering all kinds of goods and services and the entire complex looks like a huge bazar. - the beach is extremely dirty with sand from somewhere else that raises a terrible dust when you walk on it. In the water is only with round stones. - Rooms are the only thing that is good and clean. But the windows do not isolate the noise from the motorway underneath the hotel, as well as the parties and the noise from the neighboring hotels. Personally, at 6 am I wake up everyday passing traffic. - the whole hotel had only 1 television outside the rooms. - The spa is ok and the cost is ok - animation is only available in the area at the beach which is for 8000 people. Queue for water games, Queue for children's disco, Queue for lounges, Queue for restaurant chairs. Queue for everyone and everything!! It's really unforgettable but in the bad sense. You are praying to their staff for things they are required to offer in principle ... We generally talked to a lot of people here ... Years ago the hotels ware ok ... from the pictures you expect to be above the average level in Turkey ... And it is well below the average as a whole experience. So - Please! Do not even send your time in this... Even is for free! Queue for everyone and everything!

Contrary to other reviews, we went as a family of 4 and had an amazing experience, which was great considering how anxious the other reviews made us.

Was it perfect? No. Is anything perfect, though?

We managed to upgrade on arrival to a swim up room. This made the holiday far more unforgettable. Being able to wake up and jump straight in the pool made it feel more special.

The "room" was more like a house. 3 beds, 2 showers, all with balconies and air con... amazing.

There are areas that need work, such as broken bannister on the stairs, the shower flooding in the ground floor (seemed to be the same with all rooms), and toilet flusher being temperamental, but far from a show stopper.

The hotel itself was amazing. The slides are great fun and cater to young and old. My daughter had enough to keep her occupied for hours, as did my older son. Additional slides in the island gave you a fresh load of things to do when bored of doing the slides in the hotel.

The food when we were there was fantastic. Something different each day and actually very tasty. There was little we didn't enjoy and catered to all tastes.

The only thing I would say is that the kids' area smelt, particularly in the mornings. The box where they place the hot plates for the children's food seemed to always have water left in it over night and through the next day, which caused the smell and, at times was a little unbearable. I would highly suggest management address this, as there is no need for staff to leave water in there like this.

We ate pretty much everything, even had ice in our drinks occasionally, and never had any illness. We are aware some guests experienced illness a few weeks before we arrived due to the spaghetti. All other holiday makers we spoke to had not seen or experienced illness from food. You could get ill anywhere, and it doesn't take much for one sick person to touch food items without washing their hands and instantly spread that illness. No hotel can avoid this in a buffet setting. So whilst it's unsettling to hear, you can hardly blame the hotel. Unfortunately, the way some guests behaved whilst there, it's easy to see how this could happen. We even witnessed a woman pick up a food item with her hands, take a bite, decide she didn't want it, and then put the item back. With guests like this, it's hardly the hotels fault if people don't have simple hygiene practices themselves.

The entertainment in the hotel was basic, but more than we expected. The entertainment on the island, however, was next level and REALLY good. We thoroughly enjoyed the evenings.

The beach was a pleasant surprise. The sand is typical for Turkey. The sea has rocks on, which can make swimming a little awkward, but it also meant there were fish all around eating from the rocks. Because the water is warm and clear, we spent hours watching them swim around.

The hotel is very clean. They never seem to stop cleaning, in fact. I was out at 2am. and saw them working on the pool water at that time.

The pool sides are, again, typical for Turkey and VERY slippery. We all wore swim shoes, and they vastly improved the safety of us walking around the pool sides. It also helped with the rocks in the sea. So I highly recommend these.

We found the staff pleasant and approachable. Yes, they like tips, as it's the Turkish culture, but I found them less demanding in this respect than other hotels. So we tipped when we felt any specific staff members deserved it.

The room cleaners were amazing. The bed artwork was fantastic. The kids enjoyed coming to the room each day to see what had been left.

We used the spa and went for the "VIP" package. This was amazing. The children were able to join us for free other than the massage. The massage was so relaxing. I never realised how many muscles ached until after the massages, and I felt a new man after them. The head of the spa was a really genuinely nice guy and kept giving us free extras all the time and even advised us where to go for the best deals on the trips.

Overall, it was a...

Air-con was decent and free and the room was quite spacious

The room was in a quiet location and we didn’t get much out door noise from other guests.

Go to the beach area there are lots of things to do there and other pool areas

Got shops downstairs in the hotel but almost double the price. So go outside and go to the local shop 5 mins walk to save some money

The photo places were very pushy and ask you every time you go past and if they see you outside.

The mattresses on the other hand are so uncomfortable really need a change

There was a fair 5 mins walk from the hotel. Not big but will keep the kids busy

There are shows on every night for quests at an outside theatre.

Over all an ok holiday but for just under 5k for 10 days for 4 people I’d say it wasn’t great...
