Mardiva Otel in Mardin offers a delightful stay, especially if you appreciate a serene location away from the city center. Conveniently, a bus station right in front of the hotel provides direct access to one of Mardin’s major malls and the historic old city (minibus no 6), making it easy to explore the area. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean, featuring a modern design with warm, welcoming colors. However, we did encounter some issues that slightly marred our experience. The loud water noises from the pipes in our room were quite disruptive. Additionally, the hotel’s advertised gym and swimming pool have designated women-only and men-only days, which might be disappointing for couples hoping to use these facilities together. This policy might be unfamiliar and inconvenient for international travelers. Despite these drawbacks, the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the breakfast buffet. It was exceptional, offering a wide variety of delicious options to start the day on the right note. Overall, Mardiva Otel provides a pleasant stay with some minor inconveniences, but the outstanding breakfast makes it worth considering for your visit to Mardin.

This hotel was a good choice for our stay. The room was very clean and smelled very good. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful. One of the highlights was the free and secure parking, which made things very convenient for us. Near you could also take the bus for the old town. We also enjoyed the pool. It was clean and a great place to relax after a long day. The breakfast was very good, and it was served in buffet style with diversified options. There was also a gym. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick and easy. What seemed a bit strange to us was that, at first, we were told the hotel was fully booked due to Bayram. However, shortly after we left the hotel, we were informed that a room had become available, even though later that evening. The hotel didn't appear to be anywhere near full .. Overall, it was nice and welcoming and well worth the stay.

On the night of arrival at the hotel, we were charged an additional 700 liras for requesting two separate beds, while at the time of check-in, we had requested two separate beds. 2- All corridors lack cooling devices. 3- During breakfast, the coffee machine did not work and the tea was also left and unprepared. 4- The air in the room smells of mold and sewage. 5- The pool is for men and women every other day and is not well ventilated.

Room was dirty. Poo skidmarks in toilet, fresh yellow phlegm in the sink and worst of all, dirty sheets. Rooms smell of cigarette and sewage (pipes need draining/clearing)

Raised the dirty sheets with front desk guy who started shouting at me because he was the only guy on shift and didn't know if they had any clean ones to replace with. He did offer to switch us rooms but it was 1am and i had 3 unpacked suitcases so the thought of packing them given your tired i was wasn't optimal.

After some back and forth he told me to go to the room and wait. Magically he appeared 10 mins kater with fresh sheets which i fitted in.

Breakfast was groce and the air quality in the area is really bad. Wife has asthma so was struggling to breathe. Also street cats were sneezing a lot, poor things.

It's also true the mini fridges in the entire hotel are broken and from a quick scan of other reviews, has been the case for a while.

The only redeeming quality is the onsite gym which is really good, if you're into that. Looks like a separate business of which hotel guests have access.

Overall this hotel smells (within rooms, is dirty and the night manager is shouty. There was one worker who was tall who did help when he could, i...
