Zeytinci Olivera Resort Hotel — Hotel in Ayvalık

if you are thinking of staying at this hotel, i'd recommend you to think again.||||We booked this hotel a week before the beginning of our holiday. They said everything is ok. We wanted to check and called them a day before AGAIN not to have any problem. They AGAIN said there is no problem.||||First day of holiday, i drove 500 kms(from Istanbul) for 6 hours and finally arrived this so-called hotel. When we arrived at reception, they told us to have lunch while the room was being cleaned.||||THE LUNCH was total disaster. Ground was sticky. While walking, your slipper was sticking on ground. There were flies everywhere. On the food, on the table, on your body. No airconditioning, there were old vantilators was unable to vantilate themselves. There is not much choise to ate. My mother-in-law wanted to eat meatballs, was like plastic. The desert was smelling/rotten. There were stains on glasses. There is a plastic cover on tables to make it easy to clean.||||||After lunch, we went back to reception. We booked a family room, they took us to double-bed room with one extra bed added. We said, we didnt book this room, they looked at our faces 'surprised', like they didnt know what we are saying. At first, they didnt want to accept their fault, when we insisted, they accepted and said there was a family and they didnt check out so they asked us to stay in this room and transfer to family froom next day. We didnt accept this and they offered us to stay in another hotel and transfer to their hotel the next day. we told them this is not Professional and they should have warned us previous day if they had not confirm our room. But they didnt warn us, instead they were bragging us telling they are giving us a sea view room!||||The room was like out of 1980's. All the furniture was old. The sheets were grey instead of White.||||When we went to talk to the manager Mr.Mehmet, all the room was cover with smoke and smelling like ashtray. They were polite in general but acting like chapman.||||Consequently, we left this so-called hotel and these are my (fortunately)2 hour experience. They say all-included. but you get nothing at all. Then we went to search for another otel and found Hotel Amphora, which we enjoyed a lot and i will write my reviews on another page.||||i see many positive feedbacks here but i am unable to undestand what they liked. I barely make negative comments. As ex-hotelier my recommendation is, don't ruin your days with your family at this hotel. We have made a week booking at this hotel after relying on the google comments. We were lucky that we have paid only first night advance. When we arrived to hotel, there was issue on parking around the hotel. Hotel does not have its own parking space. Paid-parking available at the front, and no space behind the hotel. Room was small. Noise at the AC. Regretted having dinner there. The hotel restaurant was so busy and it is not open-buffet and drinking water is extra charge and there were long lines with limited selections, and you could feel the hassle as if guests were fighting for food. And talked to the receptionist that we would be checking-out tomorrow morning, and receptionist said that they need to charge for one more night as no-show, which we declined to pay for the night we're not going to use, and hotel promised many things prior our arrival including arranging parking spot to us, which they did not do any of them. There were trashes from the rooms left to the corridors. At night we could not sleep as there is a discotheque next to the hotel, some tourists were drinking and shouting heehawing whole the time. Morning breakfast was with limited options, no water on any drinks served. And checked-out in the morning without paying any extra single cent and headed to other hotel we've arranged and continued there. There was no any apology or anything from this hotel.
