This is really quite a strange place! We were met by a very helpful guy when we arrived quite late and he helped us with our luggage and saw we were tired, so he kindly said he would upgrade us.||The room we were given, although large, was dingy (poor lighting) and we struggled with getting a WiFi signal, although this was later resolved. However, the door to a balcony had no key in the lock, so I felt vulnerable leaving all our possessions there. We contacted the guy again who looked for a key for us but, when he couldn’t find one, offered to move us, which he did.||I noticed the first room had a kettle, but no cups. The second had no kettle, but a fridge which didn’t work! On later investigation I found it wasn’t plugged in as the socket behind it was hanging off the wall. There was also another socket in the bedroom also hanging off the wall. The next morning we were asked if everything was ok. I mentioned the wiring (and the air conditioning unit front being on the floor, too!) and he said he would get someone to look at it, but he didn’t. The cleaner carefully moved the a/c cover more out of the way though the following day!||The balcony (this time with locking door!) was quite large, but, for some reason had some dis-assembled shelves in a pile on it!||We had booked 2 nights here and decided to stick with it, although seriously thought about moving on. However there was plenty of hot water (although there was a moveable shower head at waist height and another head in the tall ceiling. This was pointed at the wall and therefore useless. We couldn’t reach it to try and redirect it at our bodies, so just used the hand held head)! As we were late the first night we had dinner in their attached restaurant. Turned out it was a home made burger - or a home-made burger!! No choice. Anyway, it was nice. Also it was a typical Turkish breakfast the next morning and very good, so we decided to stay our 2 nights.||The next morning they were painting in the adjoining room and outside it so there does at least seem to be some ongoing maintenance, although I would have thought that electrical issues should take precedence over the painting!||Staff were all very...
Read moreFirst thing to understand about this hotel is that what it tauts as it's private beach is a public beach, and is operated (but separate from the hotel) by the same personnel. What is the relevance? Well, when they rush to start service at the beach, you don't get any reasonable service to serve the breakfast at the hotel. İt may be your lucky day, though unless you have no idea what you are eating: most of the food is really bad quality. The olives (this is the land of olives!!) They served were so bad, I had to tell them to remove. The börek they serve is old and bent out of shape- no sign of care to do a good job with the food. The feta cheese is not edible, bread is not toasted because the toaster is out .....|I finally flipped when I asked for sucuk (Turkish sausage) and was told it costs extra??? I do not recall whether the sausage was good or not, because it was delivered late as was everything else. One day tea (Turkish tea) was served cold to the table. Another day I could not get a cup of tea for breakfast.|Rooms we stayed: one flooded the bathroom when bide was used, the other flooded when the shower was used. After the second day, I asked for a screwdriver and fixed the towel holder myself, because nobody else did. Rooms need real maintenance.|The pool is small, in an extremely hot area, practically useless.|The best part is the beach, which anybody can go since it is public. The only advantage is being a hotel guest you do not have food/drink minimums. This means nothing since if you're going to spend several hours at the beach, you'll spend 50 lira (a mohito costs 45 ytl) anyway.|Any expenditures you make at the beach you have to pay there and can not charge to the room. There is no wifi at the beach, and the one at the hotel does not work all the time. The beach and the hotel are not coupled, although the beach is good, the hotel is overpriced for what is provided. The only positives from the visit: staff tried but the job is impossible: two places are run with one crew.|The rooms were cleaned well.|Stay at a nearby pansiyon,...
Read moreUnfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected. On our first day, my son was scratched by one of the many street cats roaming the hotel premises. Concerned for his safety, we inquired whether these cats had been vaccinated. Shockingly, we were told that the staff did not know. This led to a visit to the hospital, where my son received his first vaccination. Now, he must undergo an additional four vaccinations, each requiring a visit to a hospital that is far away. Every trip consumes more than half a day due to the distance and long waiting times.
To add to our frustration, no authorised person from the hotel has contacted us to provide information about the cats or their vaccination status as promised. We've since learned that this has happened to several families, forcing them to interrupt their holidays with these unpleasant hospital visits durinhg their holidays.
This holiday was long-awaited and costly, and we are incredibly upset with how it has turned out. The situation with the cats isn't our only complaint. The breakfast and the service was poor, and the staff seemed fearful of management, unable to provide any answers to our questions.
Furthermore, our room was not cleaned for four days, the bins were not emptied, and we had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for toilet paper. The bathroom was infested with around 30 flies, which we had to clean ourselves before my child and us could use it. Despite these issues, the only manager we saw was during breakfast, patrolling the area, but never once approached us to ask about our experience. This level of disregard for guests is truly unacceptable.
We deeply regret choosing Hotel La Brezza for our holiday and wish we...
