MARİN YALIKAVAK HOTEL — Hotel in Bodrum

The hotel is very nice, the location is 10 mins walking from the marina of yalikavak and is perfect to stay out of the crowd and be close to reach it. The room is cute, clean and has everything you need. Breakfast is typical Turkish with salty and sweet dishes. The area by the pool is very relaxed and chill, very good atmosphere to read a book and rest. The personnel is very gentle and nice, despite they quite don’t speak English. They look like a big family working together to make sure you’re enjoying your stay. We also had the luck to meet Ilkar, basically the only hotel staff member speaking a good english, who is a very nice person and he proposed us a private dinner for the four of us on the beach of the hotel. They prepared a nice table on the wooden structure of the beach and we enjoyed my best Turkish dinner with a menu of Turkish dishes decided together with Ilkiar for a very reasonable price (~20€ each excluding drinks).

We spent here the last 3 days of our 2 weeks in turkey with the goal to relax and restore before going back home. We all enjoyed our stay very much and in case I’ll come back in this area I will for sure return to this hotel.

The single bed was too noisy as it was a portable bed, it was thin and could not sleep. Door of the room was slightly open and the light/flies could enter the room. The wc water tab was not working, no water. The owners were always sitting next to the pool with angry staring eyes. The staff were very kind and experienced but the managemwnt was poor. Some answers to some questions coming from the owners were very nonsence and an evidence to poor management skills. Sea was dirty, we could not swim. Seaside is too narrow for relaxing. Food...
