This is a very special find. Currently on a 2 week solo holiday in Gümüsluk having been to Gündogan for many years. I thought it would take something great to beat the hotel I used to go to there but Myndos Bed and Breakfast does it and more.||||Tevfik Bilgin, the owner, is very friendly, speaks excellent English and responds promptly to e-mails. He was very good at explaining to the transfer bus driver how to get to the hotel. He is always available and very willing to give advice.||||The breakfasts are excellent as are the lunches. Turkish tea and other fresh drinks are available throughout the day. There are numerous restaurants very close by for an evening meal. The omelettes at breakfast are wonderful. The breakfast is standard Turkish fare but I really like it.||||Also very close to hand: Dolmuses to Bodrum, Goltürkbüku and Turgutreis; the beach is less than a minute away just behhind the garden wall; and shops for essentials.||||The Myndos excavations are worth seeing and I had a great hair cut in the local barbers earlier today.||||Even though I have another week to go this has been my best holiday in Turkey so far and I am already thinking of returning to Myndos Bed and Breakfast.||||One last thing for any readers of this review: I am...
Read moreFirst time travelers to Turkey should visit the smaller towns and hotels and the first stop should be Gumusluk. Protected from development by the archeological finds, this little village will charm you. I stayed for 2 weeks and was made to feel at home by Tefvik and Zenep Belgin the owners. They speak a multitude of languages including French, Turkish, and English. I was alone so my new friends even invited me to join them for family dinners which went above and beyond the inclusive price. The little houses are set in a tangerine orchard perfect for reading on the little porch with a glass of wine, I strolled through the village in perfect safety and marveled at fruit and olive trees everywhere. The breakfasts were custom made local specialties, so delicious I had to take a picture. I adopted a local dog or at least she adopted me and we went hiking in the hills above the sea. Zeynep wished me farewell with the local custom by throwing a bucket of water on my taxi as I left. I will be...
Read moreI went with a social group of around 40 people. As mentioned in other reviews the locations is good although next to a live music venue so loud every night till late during our visit during Turkish bayram. The staff were friendly but seemed inexperienced. Breakfast was a drawn out business every morning but delicious on e it arrived. The rooms are very small and not well equipped but in a very pleasant, garden environment. We were there a week and never saw a cleaner. When asked for a once over, one of the waiting staff made a token effort but frankly, it was still filthy after he finished. I am not usually a whining customer but this place could really benefit from tighter management, some decent bedding ( I had to ask for pillow cases as only pillow protectors were in place) and some trained waiting and...
