Our Honeymoon at IZZ Getaway – A Hidden Gem of Peace and Hospitality
For our honeymoon, we were looking for something truly special – a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, with comfort, authenticity, and a personal touch. We came across IZZ Getaway while browsing online, and from the very first moment, it just felt right.
From First Contact – Genuine and Professional
Even before we booked, we reached out and spoke with Emrah Yilmaz. He took the time to guide us through every step and option, without ever being pushy. His communication was honest, calm, and thoughtful, which immediately gave us the confidence that this was the right place for our honeymoon.
Arrival & Stay – Everything Exceeded Expectations
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth. Every day, we felt genuinely cared for. • The rooms were spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained • The atmosphere was peaceful, calming, and perfectly matched our standards • The entire property is a sanctuary where you can truly unwind
The People Make It Special
What truly sets IZZ Getaway apart are the amazing people who run it. They don’t treat you like customers — they treat you like guests, even friends. We want to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff and especially Lale, Almila, Duygu, and Eren – such kind, caring, and attentive individuals who made our experience unforgettable. Whether it was help with planning, local tips, or just a warm smile every morning, they were always there for us.
In addition, they have super sweet cats that made the stay even more enjoyable!
The Perfect Place to Unwind
Whether you want to enjoy a slow breakfast with a view, take a nature walk, or simply relax and connect with your partner, IZZ Getaway is the perfect spot. You feel safe, valued, and completely at ease – exactly what we hoped for on such a meaningful trip.
5 Stars – Without a Doubt
We’re incredibly grateful to have spent our honeymoon at IZZ Getaway. Everything — from the first message to the final goodbye — was just right. This place is a hidden gem, and we would recommend it to anyone looking for peace, romance, and genuine Turkish hospitality.
Thank you so much, Emrah, Lale, Almila, Duygu, and Eren — we will...
Read moreSet around a vast natural landscape and forests, this is a good concept for a retreat. It has a good swimming pool and sauna room with good views of the forest from the bedroom. It feels very calm and relaxing, with the earthy tones and colours. The bed was comfortable and the King room had a nice design and spacious, with a terrace (although cats took over here). The staff were nice and willing to help out when in need of something, whether through messages or in person. The airport is a short 20 minute ride away and taxi can be arranged with the hotel when going back. You can feel at ease with nature here.
The accommodation is advertised as being adult only but there are lots of guests with dogs and cats and the hotel itself has cats. Personally, I would rather have kids than animals as the cats tend to want to come inside the room and disturb personal space while eating, but others may like it. The breakfast is ok and quite simple but I believe a meat option should be included and it can benefit from having more variety as it gets repetitive when staying for a week. Ideas to improve breakfast is they can provide more yoghurt (rather than the spoon of yoghurt they provide, more for looks presumably) and sweet snacks would be welcome as there aren’t restaurants and shops within walking distance currently. Juice is not included either which I would usually expect. The food menu could do with an update and there are strikingly no real tradition turkish options which is a shame. However, the food I did try such as beef burger, pepperoni pizza, Frankfurt sausage and fries were nice and of good quality at least. Maybe you can buy some food and snacks from the Gocek town centre supermarkets which is a 30 minute drive away.
Communicating can be tricky if you do not speak Turkish but they can understand some basic words in English. Some of the initial booking instructions for checking in could have been clearer. They are still figuring out the overall service as it is a new hotel and physically still undergoing construction in some parts but the concept is a good one. The construction didn’t interfere with our stay much. Overall it was good. The natural beauty around Gocek and Fethiye...
Read moreOur Daughter & Son in law stayed here last year for l week however this year they booked 2 weeks as they said it was a place to switch off & relax. Half way through their break they phoned us & said the hotel had a spare room & invited us over there, this was a last minute booking. We arrived at Dalaman then a 15 minute Taxi ride to the Hotel. The one thing you notice when you arrive is the friendliest staff, there are slight problems with some of the staff not speaking English’ however everyone was so friendly & always with a smile with the reception you receive. You are driven to the rooms in one of the many buggies, all of the rooms extremely well decorated with comfy beds, coffee machine & safe, nice walk in shower & clean bathroom. The rooms were kept spotless at all times. The one nice part about the place is it has a calmness & feeling of relaxation, all our family are animal friendly, this was great as the resident dog Holmes walks around the pool area making friends with everyone, then if you like cats there are about 6 of them who all spotlessly clean & friendly The area the hotel is set in is vast, it includes a large forest with walks & one of the best Gyms you could imagine, together with a spa, Hamas room, Sauna & steam rooms, also private villas scattered around with their own pools. The Turkish breakfast (Bon appetite) is to die for all freshly picked greens & home grown food & homemade breads with choices of eggs. We ate a few time at the dinner sitting with a great choice of fresh food, at other time we went into Gocec about 15 minutes Taxi ride. This is not your average package hotel. The Hotel is like an immaculate relaxing adult only retreat that cannot do enough for their guests. Obviously as they have only been open for a couple of years you can see the potential of expansion is in the managements sight...
