Datça House Butik Otel — Hotel in Datça

Booked the hotel for 2 nights, mainly on the fact that it allowed pets. Mistakenly thought it was in the town of Datca, but it was actually 30km West in a village called Medusiye, midway between the Datca and the ruins of Knidos. My wife and I (and Almond, the dog) couldnt have been more pleasantly surprised. Set in beautiful tranquil farmland surroundings with plenty of space for Almond to run around in, and it was only about 100 mts from Ovabuku Plaj. a beautiful small bay with some charming, if typically Turkish overpriced seafood restaurants. (Alcohol very expensive compared to where we live in Fethiye). The young owner of the hotel, Serkan, his wife, his small team and Zena the Doberman, couldn't do enough for us, with nothing being too much trouble. Zena especially looking after Almond. The rooms are a reasonable size, with a comfy bed, TV kettle and good air conditioning, etc. Breakfast was typically Turkish Khavalti with plenty of it and eggs to order if desired. All in all a wonderful stay and we will definitely be booking to come back sometime later in the year. P.S. we came mid May, and the season here doesn't really start until the Turkish childrens holidays in June. I would imagine it gets quite busy for 3 months through to September. but that should give it a lively atmosphere during that time. My advice, dont hesitate...

Bir butik otel düşünün; tatlı bir aile işletmesi olmasının verdiği sıcaklık, samimiyet ve naifliği sonuna kadar hissettiğiniz, müşteri yerine "misafir" anlayışında olan, eviniz gibi hissettiğiniz... Daha nicesi yazılır ama bazı şeyler sözlere sığmaz bilirsiniz.. Ablamla Ankara'dan Datça'ya gelirken berbat bir otobüs yolculuğu geçirdik ve kapılarına ulaştığımız anda öyle sıcak karsıladılar ki; "nerelerde kaldınız, şükür kavuşturana" dercesine... Datça-Ovabükü'ne ilk gelişimizdi ve otel seçimimiz kesinlikle çok doğruydu.. Kahvaltısı abartıdan uzak evinizde hazırladığınız hafif yaz kahvaltıları ile aynı ve bence idealdi. Odaların konumu doğa ile iç içe olmanızı sağlıyor, temizlik konusunda kesinlikle içiniz rahat edebilir. Rezervasyon aşamasında sayısız kez her aklıma gelen soru için İşletme sahibi Serkan Bey'i aramama rağmen tarafsız ve samimiyetle beni yöre hakkında sabırla bilgilendirmesi için teşekkür ediyorum. Ovabükü; konumu açısında koylara yakınlığı ve diğer koylara nispeten sakin oluşuyla tam bir kafa dinleme yeri. Plajındaki işletmelerin şezlonglarını birseyler yeme içme karsılığında bütün gün kullanabiliyorsunuz; ki fiyatlar zaten Ankara'daki en basit cafelerle aynı düzeyde. İnsanların sizi müşteri gözüyle görmemesi, rant derdi olmaması harika.. Serkan Beyin, eşi Nagehan Hanım ve anneciğinin öyle güzel enerjisi var ki oteldeki diğer misafirlerle bile kısa sürede samimiyet kurduk. Negahan Hanımın annesinin bize yaptığı ev köftesi harikaydı, kendisinin el lezzeti fevkalade.. İlk fırsatta tekrar yollarımız kesişecek, işiniz rast gitsin...
