Viva Knidos — Hotel in Datça

I have been at this hotel between 15th Aug-19th Aug 24 for DoctorFitt-Dr. Eyyup Yilmaz's seminar for the healthy lifestyle. |The seminar went beyond perfect with the hotel's location, design and services. Everyone who attended the seminar was very satisfied with the hotel. |This hotel is located in the Old Datça district, a 2-hour drive from Dalaman airport, and the transfer is quite easy. Hotel can also direct you to the relevant companies or options for transfer if you wish, they are very helpfull. |The hotel is pet-friendly and set in a fairly wide valley. |There are tree houses inside the hotel, and also villa-style many rooms. |Since the hotel is in the form of a very large holiday village, you can go anywhere with buggy. You just need to ring them, and they are coming to the front of your room straightaway. |This hotel has three large restaurants, conference rooms, as well as a vegan restaurant, where you can go as a family with your children or solo and experience the wonderful cuisine made with fresh fruits and vegetables, stay with your pets, have a fairly large pool and sitting patios. | It's 10-15 minutes by car to the sea, but you don't even prefer go to the sea because the pools are very beautiful. |The hotel is an incredibly beautiful hotel for pet lovers, nature lovers, established without harming the heart of nature. |The vegan restaurant is run by two amazing strong young ladies and the flavors were great. |I can't think of another hotel in the perfect location for yoga and healthy, natural nutrition. |The water therapy I received from the swimming instructor Mrs Sevim at the hotel was incredible and it was effective for me to overcome many of my fears, as well as my fear of water. It was exactly therapy, and I, who was afraid to even stand in the same environment as hotel dogs, overcame this fear. I was able to be in the same environment without being afraid with the sweet dogs who belongs to the hotel, Can and Badem. |Can is an incredibly humane and wonderful dog who is on his way to becoming a therapist. Badem is playful but harmless and likes to share. |I would like to express my eternal thanks to the hotel staff, bar staffs (especially Nevruz and Doğukan) who made this holiday beautiful for me, everything was very tasty and the rooms were very clean. |The staff were extremely respectful and friendly. |Thank you so much everyone, see you next year. |Special note: I d like to send my love to Can and Badem, please take care of them 🙏🏼|Beyhan...

I recently had the pleasure of taking a water therapy session with dear Sevim Karaagacli at Viva Knidos and I must say it was an absolute delight to be held by her, and gently be swayed through the soft pool water with her gentle hands..

It was an experience of total surrender which requires trust (because your eyes, nose and ears are closed for the entire duration of the session) as well as the right energy; meaning both the facilitator's energy and obviously the surroundings where the session is held.

The environment at Viva Knidos, in my view, is the perfect backdrop for this type of experience, as it is situated in an absolutely beautiful, large and calm piece of land on Datca Peninsula; inviting you to "drop in and let go."

As Sevim was working with me in the water for about 20 minutes, slowly but surely all thoughts dissipated, and my mind became fully still as my body got immersed in the water, guided by her healing and gentle touch..

At some point i felt like i was on a different planet, as the "dancing" reflections of the sun rays underneath the water turned into a "light show" for my closed eyes as i was moved through the water by Sevim.

If you visit Viva Knidos, I wholeheartedly advise you to take a session with Sevim, as this will enhance your experience of total relaxation and help you find stillness in your mind and relaxation in your body. 100%...

Great facilities, service needs improvement.

We have stayed at this property several times, but were disappointed with the service received this past time.

Despite putting our cleaning light on, our room was not cleaned. After further requesting that staff clean the room, we were met with ambivalence, and we were told the staff would clean the next morning (that did not occur either). Finally, we requested to at least have water (which is given during cleaning), which we were charged for, and had to argue to have taken off our bill.

Additionally, the hotel hosted a concert one evening, which was very noisy and ruined the relaxing ambience of the hotel. We figured we could at least attend the concert, but even as a hotel guest, we were informed it would be 2000 TL per person. The hotel should consider giving guests free or discounted access to concerts on property.

The property itself is beautiful, and the rooms, spa facilities, and gardens are all beautiful, clean, and in great condition. However, some of the lounge chairs by the pool should be fixed as they were broken. Breakfast, while satisfactory, could also be improved with fresher food.

Overall, though, hotel still represents good value for money, and with small improvements our experience could be much better. We hope we can return someday to the better experience this hotel...
