We booked a bungalow for one night for myself, my wife who is pregnant and two small children. When we arrived the receptionist wasn't there but there was a woman that told us to wait for the receptionist for 5 minutes. After about 25 minutes of wait she started to take us to a room on the 3rd floor. We told here that we specifically ordered a bungalow and not a room. To which she replied that there was some mistake and the bungalows are taken. We told her that we are not going to go up 3 floors with a pregnant woman. So she remembered that she has another room on the second floor. Again we said no as there were not enough beds for the children. Then the woman in charge came and started to explain that when you order with them you either get a bungalow or a room according to thier availability. We said that its not correct since prices are different for each room and our order was for a bungalow. They show us another room which smelled very bad and had used slippers lying around. So we e said we want to cancel the order. Again they tried to evade and told us they can't cancel and we should do it. When we said that its unacceptable since we will not get the money refunded they offered to compensate us with 600 tl. We didn't accept since price was around 900 tl. They offered 800 tl and we accepted. I feel as if they shouldn't try to evade and make it as if the mistake was on our side and we would accepted a different room with no problem. On the quiet side of the D400 car road at Demre you will find the hotel. Bungalows are behind the hotel. We stayed in a apartment of the hotel so that is where the review is about.
The room was nice sized. Kitchen, refriguator, tv, table with 4 chairs, two bank (convertable into beds), queensize bed, closeth and nice looking bathroom with toilet. It looks pretty hygiénic.
The location is nearby the centre of Demre and there is parking space on the terrain of the hotel. Since we came outside the season, the swimmingpool wasn't prepaired, but available.. lays inbetween the hotel and bungalows. Not to big though. They made a simple little playground for the kids with a swing and a seesaw.
There were a few negatives, but i dont know if other hotels who have these better.. Lije the most of the employees dont speak english.. some even needed to call someone to translate. But that is something you experience in whole Turkey.. most people having trouble speaking English, but are willing to find solutions. Maybe that was the problem in the hotel, because we hadnt got the feeling cleaning and refill of bath towels, toiletpaper was arranged. Not the biggest problem.. we bought our stuff in nearby supermarkets.
Other problem is the water in the shower. From the 8 days we were there we only had a day or 3 nice water pressure. Also yo get warm/hot water you most of the time need to wait a wile.. like 7 or 8 minutes maybe.
Overall a nice hotel if you are there to sleep and enjoy the country during daytime. Aan de rustige kant van de D400 autoweg bij Demre vind u het hotel. Bungalows liggen achter het hotel. Wij verbleven in een kamer van het hotel, dus daar gaat de review over.
De kamer heeft een goede afmeting, koelkast, tv, keuken, tafel met vier stielen, twee slaapbanken, queensize bed, kast en douche met toilet. Het ziet er redelijk verzorgd uit.
De locatie is op enkele minuten afstand van het centrum van Demre en het hotel heeft parkeerplaatsen achter het hotel. Omdat wij buiten het seizoen kwamen was het zwembad niet bereid. Het zwembad ligt tussen hotel en bungalows en is niet super groot, maar redelijk aangenaam. D'r is een simpele speelplaats gecreëerd met wipwap en schommel.
D'r waren echter wel een aantal negatieve dingen in/aan het hotel. Het is mij niet duidelijk of alle hotels hier problemen mee hebben.
Eerst te beginnen met de medewerkers die heel slecht engels spreken. Sommige hebben zelfs telefonische ondersteuning van iemand nodig om te kunnen communiceren. Echter is dit een ervaring die u in geheel Turkije gaat meemaken. De meeste mensen spreken geen engels, maar zijn bereid om oplossingen te vinden. Misschien was dat ook wel het probleem, want we kregen niet het gevoel dat er veel schoongemaakt werd en dingen zoals toiletpapier bijgevuld werd. Een kleinigheid, want wij haalde bij de plaatselijke supermarkt net zo makkelijk onze spullen.
Een ander probleem was het water in de douche. Van de 8 dagen dat wij aanwezig waren hebben we misschien 3 dagen genoeg waterdruk gehad. Ook de watertemperatuur was een probleem. Soms wel 7 tot 8 minuten wachten op een slap straaltje warm/heet water.

Read moreNo idea why customers are so happy about this apartment hotel, I stayed there for two nights and wasn't happy about it. First of all - reception doesn't speak English, like at all...I mean zero English. They could solve this problem with google-translator, but no way they would do it. The only thing they could do for you - call their owner who speaks English, so poor guy seems works like reception 24/7 by phone. But that is not the main problem. The main problem was hair in my bed which wasn't mine! Seriously I was shocked! Urly black hair was in bed!! Not one, but many of them! I guess they don't bother to wash sheets after ever guest. My day was ruined... I went with this trouble to reception where no one spoke English of course, so in the middle of the night they called their owner, then they figured what I need and gave me another sheets, with same situation though...HAIR, CURLY BLACK HAIR...
