RivendellCappadocia — Hotel in İbrahimpaşa Köyü

Bait and switch and dishonesty was the theme of this very disappointing visit. We were excited to stay at this unique hotel in a quiet old town outside the busyness of Göreme, but the issues started as soon as we arrived. We were told via text that our room would be ready at 2 PM, but when we got there, we were told it would be another two hours for cleaning.

When we finally checked in, we were given a completely different room than the one we booked on booking.com. Instead of a large, bright suite with beds in separate spaces, we got a musty, cold and very dirty lower-level room with two beds crammed into it and one tiny window. As we had a 3:30 AM wake-up for a balloon ride, we decided to make do, until the single bed collapsed and could not be slept in.

They offered to move us to another hotel, but it would’ve meant hauling our luggage again to the car (parking is a five-minute walk, which wasn’t mentioned ahead of time), plus a 15-minute drive with no guarantee the new room would be better. First, they told us the original room we booked had a broken toilet, but when we asked to sleep there and just use the bathroom in the new room, they said no—confirming suspicions that we were being lied to. The other person who were were communicating with on text said that we hadn't booked that suite but had booked this small room - which is untrue the photos on the listing showed otherwise.They had this same room also available on Airbnb for a higher price and I suspect they double booked it.

After hours of back-and-forth talking via Google translate with the onsite person, someone on text and someone on the phone when we should’ve been sleeping, they moved our friend to a nearby hotel to sleep. The WhatsApp communication was especially poor—rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. We were even told to “stop bothering” them because they had “solved” the issue. We decided not to stay the second night. They agreed to refund it but only issued a partial refund.

Overall, a terrible service experience - which is too bad because this was a gem of a place we would have loved to have a great experience in. People who decide to stay here should have a car as it is far from local...

My stay at this Airbnb was nothing short of magical! It felt like I had found a second family in the hosts, and their warmth made my stay truly unforgettable. The cozy charm of the place enveloped me like a warm embrace, and the rooms were not just clean, but also filled with a homely charm that made it difficult to leave making me extend my stay for two more nights.

Each morning, I was greeted with a breakfast that was not just food but a testament to their love and care. It was a delicious ritual that kickstarted my days on the most delightful note.

The location of this Airbnb was a dream come true. Nestled in the heart of a picturesque valley, it was a haven for hikers like me. And the most incredible part? While hiking, I stumbled upon fresh apples, walnuts, and plums, adding an unexpected, delicious twist to my adventures.

This place was strategically situated - close to all the conveniences I needed, yet far from the hustle, bustle, and city lights. Nights were filled with the soothing sounds of nature and a breathtaking view of the starry sky.

In sum, this Airbnb was more than just a place to stay; it was a place where my heart found solace and joy. The hosts, the cozy ambiance, the immaculate rooms, the scrumptious breakfasts, and the awe-inspiring location all came together to create an experience I will cherish forever. I can't wait to return and relive the magic! Again thanking the amazing hosts...

Hello everyone! I would like to sincerely thank the team of the RivendellCappadocia for our unforgettable vacation with my husband!

It was more than just comfortable - our room was cozy enough and clean, everything we needed was provided immediately! Quite frankly, we didnt want to be in the room too much, we wanted to be in the hall and endlessly talk about everything with Rasid, appreciate hospitality provided by Seyda and smile back to kind Furkan 🙏🏽

It was beautiful - such a unique view, especially on the balcony where we had breakfasts, you are unlikely to get it in every hotel there!

Oh, and how fun and romantic it was! - We spent a wonderful night on the rooftop, enjoying shooting stars (oh, what a show there was in August!), warming ourselves by the fire and having interesting discussions with other guests... Furkan treated us to delicious snacks, pleasant music was turned on... ❤️ do not forget to buy raki and share with others!

The guys also organized a transfer for us and we enjoyed watching air balloons. Throughout the excursion, Furkan was very nice to us, sensible, kind, and interesting conversationalist. He provided everything and even a warm complement from bakery at the end:)
