What a top hotel used to be like.

Samsun Mes Hotel & Spa not only met the expectations but exceeded 110%. No Covid excuses to limit services or amenities, just 1st class of everything that left you feeling great that you chose this hotel to stay. Yes the amenities were outstanding , bathroom had everything you could ask for, shower was excellent , the beds more then comfortable. Breakfast is included and is outstanding well beyond anyones expectations. Then here is the best part all the staff and especially Mr. Mertçan were magnificent, friendly and made me feel as if I was staying with my family ( the ones I like) If you are in Samsun don’t even think about another hotel, nothing else comes close.

The location of the hotel is just away from everything so if you don't have a car it might be a problem. It faces a cemetery which is not mentioned in the description of the hotel. I arrived at 16:30 but still made me wait for an extra 30 minutes to check on the rooms. Rooms need to be renovated and the curtains are extremely dirty and don't fully close the windows I've contacted reception 6 times to turn on the AC at night and they just ignored my request. Breakfast was fair not many options. There was no fruit or any kind of dessert...

Trabzon Samsun yolculuğumuz da bir gece konakladık. Resepsiyondaki beyfendi çok nazik ve ilgili bulduk. İlk şoku bundan sonra yaşadık. Biz girdiğimiz otel de değil, yan bina daki otel de kalacağımızı öğrendik. Muhtemelen 5 kişiyiz diye böyle oldu diye düşünüyorum. Ilk izlenim oda ile olumlu idi. Duş alalım dedik, akar tıkalı çok zor akıyor idi. Duvar banyodan su çekiyor, yatak odası duvarının boyası ve sıvası dökülmeye başlamış. Beklentimiz çok yüksek değil idi, yatalım dedik. Tekli yatak kırık, sünger ortadan bazanın içine çöküyordu. Yatak odasındaki süngerin ömrü bitmiş, tahtanın üstünde yatıyor gibi idik. Nevresim lekeli idi. Gece lambasının ampulü yok... Bunun üzerine resepsiyonu aradık ve oradaki sorunları anlattık. Doğruyu söylemek gerekir isek, çokta şaşırmış değildiler bu durumdan. Ama kendilerine yine de teşekkür ediyorum, hiç konuyu uzatmadan yan odayı bize açtılar. Ve o oda çok daha iyi idi. Ama burda da gecemiz ve sıkıntılarımız bitmedi. Herhalde bütün gece o odayı düzenlemeye çalışmış olmaları gerekiyor idi, sesten uyuyamadık. Birde yol üstü, gece iki ye kadar araba sesi, ambulans sesi bitmedi. Kahvaltısı güzel, çeşitleri bol idi, herkese göre bir şey var idi. Lakin çatı katında olduğu için, sıcaktan pek yiyemedik. Camlar açık idi, lakin klima dan başkası olmaz idi. Konaklamamamız daha iyi geçsin isterdim, belki bana denk geldi ama üzülerek söylemem gerekiyor, hiç...
