The rooms are carved from natural rock yet equipped with all the modern amenities you'd expect — warm showers, comfy beds, and tasteful decor that complements the cave's unique character. What truly sets Monte Cappa apart though is the genuine hospitality and warmth of the owners, from the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. The home-cooked meals were outstanding, rich in flavour and clearly made with care. They go above and beyond, whether it's offering local tips, helping with logistics (see my review for cappamania tours) or paying attention to every little detail to ensure you feel at home. Another thing that makes this place so special is its location in a quiet village out of the main tourist areas, staying here made us feel more like locals than tourists. Watching daily life unfold at a slower pace added a peaceful, authentic layer to our Cappadocia experience, and the friendly local dogs and cats made us miss our own. If you’re looking for more than just a hotel — a stay that’s heartfelt, memorable, and uniquely Cappadocian — Monte Cappa Cave House is it, highly recommend!

The hotel is truly exceptional, the rooms very clean and elegant, the staff very helpful and kind and always ready to welcome any customer request. A terrace with an exceptional view of the valley on which an excellent and abundant breakfast is served

If you are looking for a quiet, calm holiday in mystical Cappadocia, this boutique hotel is the right place for you. Hotel hosts are all family members (Sedef, Levent, Murat). They were so positive and cheerful, we love to have conversations with them. They also provide everything for your comfort and happiness. ||||We stayed in a 1000 years old historical village room called Topuz. Staying in it felt like living in those ages. It was a quite mystical and amazing experience. ||||They serve breakfast and dinner. They gather most of their ingredients from natural village markets and it was very delicious. It was very amazing to try local flavors.||||This family also runs a travel agency called Cappamania Tour. Levent is a very experienced, licensed tour guide with a lot of knowledge about historical places around Cappadocia and the civilizations that lived there. As this was our second visit to Cappadocia, we had visited most of the attractions before. Levent created a personalized tour, took us to places we've never known, and gave us amazing information about how previous civilizations lived there. He tells the events from the perspectives of the people living there. It was a nice experience. He gave us too many recommendations about all around Turkey too. We will probably get another tour with them.||||At first, we were afraid that it was far from the city center but after a full and tiring day, eating breakfast and dinner in a calm environment was all we need. As there is not much light source and sound around the hotel, you can enjoy the silence and watch the stars on the mountains...

Last year we saw the film "Wintersleep" winner of the Palm d' or of Cannes. A beautiful film of the life in winter in a small hotel in a very little village in Cappadocia. I had to go to that region! In two words incredible beautiful!. 20 kilometer from the busy centre Göreme we found in Karlik our little hotel with five rooms two suites(!) and three caverooms. Gürcan the young owner of the hotel is tremendous helpful, a good cook and besides guide of hiking tours in whole Turkey. So he could tell us nice walks in the beautiful surroundings of the hotel and at evening we where talking about hiking trips through Turkey. Gurcan speaks English very wel. So we had real talk!. The people in the little village are overwhelming nice. We had to drink al lot of coffee and tea when we walked through the village. In Karlik there is no shop or bar. But that's no problem. Even it's better. Gürcan pick you up and bring you to ürgüp for the bus to the airport. And everything you need he has or gets in ürgüp. So our 4 days in Karlik where the perfect end of our trip through Cappadocia. In that place we found the rest we needed. So all the beautiful impressions of three weeks Turkey landed in Karlik. It's there we found our own...
