Ramada by Wyndham Diyarbakir — Hotel in Kayapınar

Stayed here 1 night for easy access to airport. Room was comfortable, except very hot during day. While thermostat allowed turning down temperature to 20 degrees, it seemed to only cool to perhaps 28. For whatever reason, upon entering the room the drapes were drawn and direct sun had heated the room to way over 30 degrees. After complaining to reception, they allowed turning down the thermostat to 19 (of course actual room temperature was mid-upper 20s). Room fridge also barely cool. I know they are trying to save money but should not make customers suffer to do so. There was a restaurant but food mediocre and extremely salty. Finally, they claim airport shuttle on their website but there is no shuttle. However, they will call a taxi which comes in 2 minutes, cost about 235 Lira to airport. This was one of the best hotel stays as far as my experience goes. The kind and helpful staff members are a delight for everyone and deserve all the praise they can get. No matter if it’s the kind reception staff such as Ms. Pınar and all the other ones, or the room service staff or the entire restaurant staff add to this wonderful experience in the Hotel Ramada by Windham in Diyarbakır. The rooms are clean and tidy, the bathroom is especially clean provided with many hygienic products you might need. No matter at which time you require some help, all of the staff members are ready to help and always treat you with kindness and respect. According to the fact the hotel is really overpriced (as all 'better' hotels in Diyarbakır - i don't understand why), i have to mention mainly the negatives:

1. the windows are not 100% soundproof
2. the air conditioning is quite noisy and strong even on the lowest setting, so you can't have it on during the night - okay in october, but it must be terrible in the summer, because the whole building is generally quite hot and the air is bad (including the fitness room)
3. the water pressure in the shower often fluctuates and is weak

I can't rate the breakfast, I haven't tried it.
