LIES, DECEPTION AND UNSAFE ATMOSPHERE! WARNING DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!
I am writing this review to warn everyone about Güral Premier Tekirova. What happened to me and my family should never happen to anyone.
Let me start with the most shocking part: Yes, the swimming pool is open, but the pool heating is intentionally switched OFF by the hotel management. This is never mentioned anywhere. I was told this directly by the head lifeguard. The management strictly forbids turning on the pool heating during the “summer season” even if it’s cold, cloudy, or raining.
Here’s what makes it even worse: I stayed at this hotel from May 28th to June 2nd which is not even high summer. It rained for two days and the weather was cold and cloudy for several more days.
What made me furious: Before booking, I personally called the hotel. I clearly explained: “I am alone with three children, and one of them is autistic. She can only swim in a heated pool. Should I book? Will the pool heating be switched on?” I asked this directly because I wanted to avoid any mistakes.
The hotel’s answer: “Don’t worry, ma’am. Of course, everything will be fine. You are welcome.”
Also, during the chat on the booking site, they told me: “Don’t worry, there is a heated pool.” Other guests even confirmed this in the chat. Check24 advised me to call the hotel for reassurantie and I did. They promised me on the phone that the heated pool would be open and heated during my stay.
Based on their promises, I booked.
But during my stay, they kept lying to me, day after day. They kept saying: “Tomorrow we will turn on the pool heating.” But they never did, because the management had already banned it.
This was deliberate deception, at the highest level.
On top of that, the hotel hides the fact that: There is NO indoor pool at this hotel. They only mention this in tiny text on their website, so hardly anyone notices it. Another deliberate scam.
Then came the worst part: My son forgot his new Asics cayano 14 shoes in our room during checkout. We reported it immediately, but of course: “Nothing found.” Only the cleaning staff had access to the room after we left.
We contacted the hotel, the travel agency, and the booking site but nobody helped. We felt completely ignored, and this ruined our entire vacation.
My advice? DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL, especially if you have children. You’ll likely be deceived, have your belongings stolen, and be brushed off with lies.
And it got even worse: The toilets in our room were constantly blocked. When you flushed, feces would rise back up along with the toilet water. The stench was unbearable. The sink was also clogged and wouldn’t drain properly. The kettle in our room caused a full power outage. I had to wait 1.5 hours in complete darkness with my children before someone came to fix it. It took another 1.5 days to get a replacement kettle.
The atmosphere in the hotel was truly awful: The restaurant staff openly gossiped about guests, not realizing that I speak Turkish. What they said about tourists was shocking, disgusting, and extremely disrespectful. I even have video evidence of their behavior. Staff members argued with each other in front of guests. Some even cried in public areas. I had to tell one staff member to speak to the hotel director instead of fighting in front of everyone. You can feel how unhappy and unmotivated the staff are. They don’t smile, don’t greet guests, and seem annoyed especially in the restaurant. The kids club only focuses on Russian children. Other children are ignored unless you complain. Some male staff members behave in a very inappropriate way toward women. They deliberately stand near your table and stare at your body, trying to make you uncomfortable. As a single mother, I felt extremely unsafe and disrespected.
I will NEVER return to this hotel. My advice is stay far away from this place. Don’t let them deceive and mistreat you like...
Read moreFirstly, the biggest problem we faced was not being given the “deluxe room” we reserved, but instead being upgraded to a "deluxe poolside" room. Initially, we were pleased with this as we were told it was an upgrade for our 5 years of loyalty. However, upon arriving at the room, we realized that it was smaller and located in the back, without a pool view. With two adults and two children, especially with a crib added for our 1-year-old, the living space became very cramped. We did not accept this and requested to move back to the deluxe room.
I reported this to the reception and reminded them of my requests made in advance. I had asked for a room close to common areas and on the first floor. However, the reception staff said they couldn’t assist as all the rooms were booked. They kept offering different rooms, but none matched the service we had paid for. They also mentioned that a larger family room was available, but I would need to pay extra for it. I, of course, refused, insisting that I only wanted to stay in the room I had originally booked. When I insisted on speaking with a manager, the situation worsened. The manager of the reception staff, Onur Bey, was supposedly always in a meeting or at lunch, which seemed unbelievable to me. I started thinking he was avoiding the issue. But since I had never experienced something like this at Güral before, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt.
After hours of not being able to speak with the management team, I decided to wait at the reception. I informed customer relations that I wouldn’t leave until I spoke with a manager. During this time, the customer relations manager, Sevda Hanım, said, "Why are you waiting? Onur Bey is already in the back, I’ll call him right now." It was clear that Onur Bey was avoiding the issue and leaving the reception staff in a difficult position. While I was waiting, I saw Onur Bey at the reception from a distance; the staff said, "A guest would like to speak with you." His response was along the lines of, "Don't involve me! Why should I deal with this! * ** * (censored)." After saying this, he left without looking back. The customer relations staff, including the manager and receptionists, were all left in shock. Following this, I was given the room I had initially paid for. However, witnessing Onur Bey’s treatment of his staff was one of the worst moments of our stay at this hotel.
Beyond this, I noticed a significant decline in the service quality at Güral Premier Tekirova, which I had experienced multiple times over the past 5 years. The restaurant was only partially open, the variety of food had decreased (for example, the cheese selection at breakfast was reduced), and the snacks in the rooms and the contents of the minibar were also diminished. These details show that the hotel is no longer offering premium service. For example, despite there being 3 of us in the room, only 1 drink was stocked in the fridge, and snacks like chips were completely removed.
In conclusion, my experience at Güral Premier Tekirova this year was a serious disappointment compared to previous years. Although the service they offer is still better than most hotels in the industry, if they continue like this, especially with the management team’s attitude, customer satisfaction will decline, and the hotel will become a place that people avoid. If Güral wants to continue offering premium service as they used to, they need to face these problems and provide the value their...
Read moreThis year was a seventh time we went to Gural Premier Tekirova for vacation. Last year we decided to check what the holidays might be in Greece just to return to Gural Premier again. The good: Territory. It is very big and very green, trees near the swimming pools make for superb shade during the hottest days. The rooms are distributed among several two to three floor buildings. It is clean. Contrary to what one person wrote in his review, the cleanliness seems to be a top priority for the management – please keep it that way. Towel policy at pools and at the sea. It is just fantastic – no limitations, no deposits, no cards exchanged for towels etc. You just get the towel and leave it after you use it. Yes, you can see that the towels are not all new, but they are always fresh and clean. Loungers/sun beds. There is no shortage of those at the beach or at the swimming pool. Last year on our experimental trip to 5 star hotel in Crete the eternal fight for the loungers was driving me crazy (especially people “reserving” the loungers early in the morning and showing up in the afternoon). If you want the peace of min in this respect – go to Gural Premier. Animation/entertainment. I am not a big fan of group activities on vacations, but if you like them – you will find it in this hotel. What I enjoyed very much were the evening performances in the Amphitheater. It is close to buying a ticket for the show in a big city. The Fire of Anatolia, The Michael Jackson Show were just fantastic. Rooms. We stayed in the Delux Family Poolside room, as usual. And as usual, it was comfortable and clean. Bars at the pool. Very convenient locations next to the swimming pools and at the beach, staff very friendly and helpful. Aquapark. Lots of fun, lifeguards and other personnel always on duty. Not so good/needs improvement: Change of the Gala Evening format was the biggest disappointment. It used to be a sit-down evening in the open air with people dressing up for the occasion. Not anymore. And we really missed the old concept. Food. Although still very very good, the level has dropped a little bit in the recent years. I cannot really pin it to something specific, but the choice seemed to be slightly more narrow. A la carte restaurants. We visited two – Italian and Fish and were not very much impressed. Yes the food was good, but so was the food in the main restaurant 😊 In general, we will go back to Gural Premier Tekirova next year again. And I would certainly recommend the hotel for families, who wish to spend their holiday care free, enjoying good food and good service, having all the fun...
