Check-in experience (score 3/5): We arrived around 21:30. The reception was open, but all the usual "welcome drinks and snacks" were already closed, leaving quite a laconic experience. The staff at the reception were very friendly and also upgraded us to a larger room (free of charge), which was nice.
The rooms (score 5/5): We stayed in the "newer" main building, and the rooms were indeed really nice and decently sized, including a large shower and toilet. Sadly, the air conditioner did not work properly on day one, making the first night unpleasant, temperature-wise. The maintenance team fixed it the following day, and it was perfectly fine after. One thing to call out is that the TVs are focused on non-English speaking audiences, so don't expect a variety of English channels.
The main facilities (score 2/5): I have to start by saying that there wasn't a single place across the hotel (excluding the rooms) that was properly air-conditioned. We're talking about the end of August to early September, around 35-40 degrees during the day, and all public places (such as reception, lobby, restaurant, etc.) are only lightly cooled, meaning that the only place you can go to if you want to escape from the heat and sweating is your room or the water. the public spaces are minimal and somewhat dated. They are cleaned constantly, though, which is great.
The food (score 3/5): There is a main restaurant and 3 "a la carte" restaurants (Turkish, Italian and Fish); you can reserve a free-of-charge seat at both the Turkish and Italian restaurants once per stay. The fish restaurant requires an extra charge.
The food variety is great; you can find something to eat that will align with your preferences, from vegetarian options to meats, to vegetables, to fruits, etc.
Everything is overall fresh and clean, and most of it is pretty tasty, in my opinion.
There are two areas that I found disappointing: The meat - most of the meat that I tried during my stay was way too dry, which was quite surprising considering the good Turkish reputation related to meats. The desserts - I think that the best way to describe them is that they look too nice, almost like they are made of plastic. Unfortunately, throughout my visit, I didn't find a single tasty dessert (and I'm not exaggerating).
The service (score 4/5): Almost everyone is nice, smiley and willing to help. The main problem is that, excluding the receptionists and a few individuals, the team doesn't speak English. It's clear that the hotel is very focused on non-English speaking markets; many employees are fluent in Russian and some in German, but sadly, communicating in English is quite challenging, but it's manageable with hand gestures accompanied by broken sentences.
Check out experience (score 1/5): Our collection to the airport was at 18:00, meaning we had a few extra hours to stay at the hotel after the official check-out time. Being prepared for this, I mentioned during the check-in (and reminded them during the stay) that we will need to keep at least one of our 2 rooms, as my mother has a medical condition requiring her to access the room throughout the day. I've been reassured that considering the circumstances, it'll be OK, and even if our rooms are unavailable, they will sort us another room instead. You can only imagine how surprised I was when, on the day of the check-out, the receptionist didn't know what I was talking about and decided to charge us an extra ā¬75 for late check-out, and moved us to a single room, which was one of the poorest and dirtiest rooms I've ever seen in a 5* hotel (some photos of the bathroom are attached).
There is a saying, "Paying the bill at a restaurant can be as important for the customer's experience as the food itself". I can say that this is extremely true for hotels as well. If you have a poor check-out experience, it can genuinely influence your whole trip. This is the main reason that we will never come back to this hotel or recommend it to any of our...
Read moreWe came to Seven Seas full of excitement, expecting the luxurious all-inclusive resort experience we were promised, and definitely paid for. The website, the photos, the price tag⦠everything led us to believe we were in for a premium vacation. What we got instead was a masterclass in disappointment.
Letās talk about food, or what they call food. Repetitive, very limited, poor, bland, uninspired sometimes empty dishes that appear day after day, no variety. Themed nights are more like... Tuesdays in a cafeteria. One promised Turkish Night featured "Hindi Tantuni" and "ĆiÄ Kƶfte", not even meat, which, unless you're running a staff canteen, is not what you serve guests who paid for a 5-star dining experience. And letās not forget the flies in the restaurant. A beautiful touch that adds crunch to your salad.
And donāt even try to bring up the āA la Carte invitationā they love to throw in as a gesture of goodwill. Iāve seen more imaginative menus at highway rest stops. Calling that āfine diningā is a big insult to the concept.
Now, entertainment: what entertainment? The amphitheater was closed for days, the shows were low budget, and ridiculous, the magician for instance made two mistakes on stage and the acrobat fell three times. The DJ refused song requests 5 minutes before shutting down (yes, really), and everything shuts down at 11 PM, every day. Only the disco is open, it fits for 800 people yet I was alone there and there's not even a bar where you can get a drink, in that humid toxic smelly basement room called disco. After that, there's nothing to do, except lie in bed- feeling like weād been grounded- and listen to music and parties coming from neighboring family resorts where guests are clearly having a blast.
Now, the real kicker: the amount of time and energy I spent explaining my frustration to the hotelās staff. I first expressed myself to Guest Relations. Then to the Supervisor. Then to the Quality Department. Then to the Entertainment Manager. Then to the Quality Manager. Not because I wanted to- but because I was repeatedly told to talk to someone else. Each time, I had to explain everything again. In the end, nothing was done and no meaningful compensation was offered. I couldāve used that time to relax, tan, explore, or literally do anything other than justify why I wasnāt enjoying a vacation I paid handsomely for.
So yes, we paid for fun, joy, and relaxation. We got flies, boredom, and a menu that made me question my taste buds.
But, let me be fair and mention the positives: Our room was spacious and clean Most staff were friendly (not always knowledgeable) And special kudos to Bartender Yusuf, who consistently made tasty drinks with care and professionalism. Honestly, his cocktails were the highlight of our 8 nights stay. Itās a sad reflection that a good drink feels like a luxury victory here.
To sum it up: Seven Seas offers you high prices and low standards, they give the illusion of luxury, and deliver disappointment dressed in five stars.
I truly wish the management the best of luck and genuinely hope they take this feedback to heart, not just for the sake of future guests, but for the reputation of the hotel...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst of all, I want to say that we really liked the hotel. It was quite clean, except for a few details, like the balcony door in our room. But thatās a minor drawback overall, because the room itself was clean, it was cleaned every day, and the bed linen and towels were changed regularly. The entire hotel, in general, was clean. We often saw staff cleaning the pool, washing the floors and doors, and even changing the tablecloths in the dining area after each guest.||At first, we didnāt like the food; we thought it was all too spicy and very Egyptian. But on the second day, we got used to it, and there were actually plenty of delicious options. The beef there was absolutely amazingāvery tasty, so definitely try it! Maybe the meat selection wasnāt huge, but what they had was delicious. There were lots of desserts, fruits, appetizers, tasty olives, and pickles. Overall, we were very satisfied with the food.||We also discovered that apart from breakfast, lunch, and dinner, there was a cafĆ© open from 12 to 4, offering several tasty options like burgers, quesadillas, fries, and pasta, so you could have lunch there during that time. The burgers were really good. There was also a bar. In fact, there were several bars working all the time. During the day, there was a poolside bar and even a swim-up bar, which was very convenient and pleasant.||The staff was excellent, with lots of lifeguards who were always attentive and approachable. They were friendly, joking around, but not intrusive, which was nice. The Wi-Fi, however, was terribleāit only worked early in the morning and late at night. There was almost no signal in the rooms; you could catch it at the reception, and sometimes outside, but rarely.||The air conditioning in our room worked well; we had our room cleaned daily. However, in our other room, the AC made a strange noise, and that was never fixed. The shower water was fine, but during peak hours, when everyone came back from the pool to shower, there was barely any water.||Overall, the hotel was pleasant and seemed recently renovated, so everything felt new. One thing I want to mention is the spa: I wouldnāt recommend going there because itās not worth the money. The spa staff didnāt speak English or Russian, and the massage was very mediocre. They kept talking and laughing during the treatment, which was very uncomfortable. The atmosphere wasnāt relaxing at allāno candles, no calming ambianceāwhich we didnāt like.||All in all, our impression of the hotel is very positive: itās a lovely place, very clean, the food is tasty, drinks (including alcohol) were unlimited, the staff was great, and the pools were clean. The relaxation pool was completely emptyāprobably because no one knew about it, but our balcony overlooked it, so thatās how we found out. The entertainment was decent, although evenings could be a bit boring, as the hotel seemed more family- and kid-oriented. We were very happy with our stay and would...
